Stop At: Angkor Wat, Sangkat Nokor Thum, Siem Reap Cambodia
We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.30 to 4.40 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world.
Soak up the atmosphere of dawn at Angkor Wat, from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough two hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. We end our tour at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel), and a short rest.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Srah Srang, National Road 6 Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap 17252 Cambodia

Stop At: Ta Prohm Temple, Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap 21000 Cambodia
One of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Once home to 2, 740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site. After exploring the maze-like interior of Ta Prohm, return to your hotel after a long but fulfilling day, which will leave you with a lifetime of memories of one of the wonders of the world.

Angkor Thom is the majestic site once served as the Khmer Empire's glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider its grandiosity before venturing inside the city. Arriving at the temple at Bayon, appreciate its beautifully crafted central towers covered in more than 200 enormous faces.

I cannot explain in words how lovely, genuine gem of a person and friendly Mr. Bun were. We visited the temple on Sunday, 1 May and he took care of the entire tour so well, from 4:30am pick up to 1 pm drop off, we observed him. Phi was an excellent & passionate tour guide. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge on Angkor Wat history, while adding in references to modern life & being otherwise so nice to chat to. You can take beautiful photos on your own, but having a backstory helps you move through the temples in a way that makes more sense & paints a much better picture of Cambodian life. The air conditioned bus is also appreciated when it heats up outside. Appreciated the small touches like cold water, spray hand sanitizer & the option to give your hotel room number in case you sleep in for pick-up. Thoughtful guide & great solo travel experience. He is an experienced tour guide with excellent knowledge about Cambodian history which he articulated in a fun and engaging way. As part of “Bun’s family” ( that’s what he referred to our group) , it was an enjoyable and a memorable trip to Angkor Wat.
