Told us where the good photo ops were. She played a drum and sang the sun up. Have us the history of the area.

Marjorie picked us up at the KOA at 5:30 am right on time. After one more pickup location, we were off to explore the monuments in the emerging light of sunrise. Marjorie was a fantastic tour guide, injecting just the right amount of history, geology, and humor in the tour. Since it was cold, we were in a van instead of open air jeep which was appreciated. Since this was an extended tour, we went into the backcountry and also experienced some local Navajo culture/history. Highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide Marjory was amazing. Our tour guide Marjory was amazing. She was friendly and shared many historic facts about the land we toured. I love that she sang a native song for us; that was a treat. Weather didn’t cooperate so we didn’t get the epic sunrise we’d hope for. No control over that. The tour does show some unique rock formations and I’m sure it’s worth it to take some pictures with a great sunrise view, sadly that wasn’t the case for us. Not sure we’d spend the money on the tour if we returned. If you do the tour check the weather well in advance.
