My son and I were fortunate enough to get a tour with Dave to Balbek. He is very knowledgable, and we quizzed him incessantly about the history and culture of Lebanon (being a native he knew everything).

During our 9 day stay in Lebanon, my friend and I booked two tours with Dave. Both the Baalbak tour and the Tyre tour did not disappoint. Dave is extremely professional and knowledge in the history of the sites and Lebanon in general. In addition, the tour was extremely low maintenance for the guests allowing us to simply enjoy the rich history and diversity of Lebanon. Most of all, Dave made our two days very comfortable - not rushed or scripted like other ‘big box’ group tours. Overall, we could not have been happier with our experience. This was a Great Day in Lebanon. This was a Great Day in Lebanon. The tour started well - Dave was waiting for me in my hotel lobby, and joked with me that, as the only customer that day, I was on the "VIP Tour". Before driving away (in a comfortable, air-conditioned car) he gave me a summary of the various civilisations of the region. First stop was Baalbek. After a brief look at what is probably the largest stone ever cut, Dave parked the car near the main entrance and I had over an hour to explore at my own pace - ensure your camera and/or phone are adequaltely charged. Next was the wine tasting at Ksara; the tour includes the "superior" tasting (actually, it was closer to a gulping...). There followed a short video documentary, and a tour of the cellars. Last stop was the 8th-century ruins at Anja - again, I had plenty of time to wander at my own pace. Take plenty of water (this was late August) and maybe some snacks (there may be a late lunch, plus the wine tasting beforehand!). All considered, a five-star review - thanks, Dave!Baalbak is a must see. The history surrounding it is incredible. Baalbak is a must see. The history surrounding it is incredible. Our tour guide Dave explained to us the history of Lebanon along the drive and more on site. He is extremely knowledgeable as well as very professional. He was also entertaining for the kids. Spoke in English, French and Arabic so everyone can understand. It is also great to be picked up and brought back and not have to worry about driving or getting lost. We did 2 tours with him and his colleague. He also recommended what to purchase and what not to purchase. Very important when you are a tourist! Very happy both times.Les beau mont du Liban et la vallée de la Békaa - et surtout les ruines de Baalbeck étaient impressionnantes!!! Merci!
