The photos don't really do this tour justice. This was an incredible experience, full of fun and heart. I was very impressed by the tour company and by the tour guides, especially Cookie (sp?) and Douglas. Most of the staff are from villages along the Navua River, so they are personally invested in the outcome of the tours and also the benefit to the surrounding communities. Douglas/"Dougie" picked me up from my hotel in Suva, even though I was the only passenger coming from the capital. He shared with me some really valuable insights on the drive to the river site and was open in a way that was truly genuine. We were guided through many locations, by motorboat to a village, which if what they say is genuine has benefitted materially from the tours, on a medicine/nature walk, to a swim at a magnificent waterfall, to lunch, and then through various tubing spots. The tubing was more fun than a lazy river experience -- we went over some small rapids. A total blast. Even though there were almost 60 participants, which was more people than I would typically like on a tour, it seemed like every staff remembered every participant's name! I felt genuinely cared for by the staff, who had safety top of mind, and who were making sure that everyone was having a good experience. I really really hope that the staff are compensated well. They are what makes this tour exceptional, and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. Vinaka vakalevu!FIRSTLY WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR TOUR GUIDE (API) THE DAY WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! You're beautiful family done a awesome job guiding us through the whole thing made sure we were safe and constantly looking out for us as a group. One of my favourite parts was when we floated down the stream and came together with our tubes linked up and we were singing songs while we floated down stream. We felt like we got to veiw the full exsperience thanks to this beautiful loving crew. And we will for sure be back. GO CHECK IT OUT TO EVERYONE DONT FORGET TO ADD THIS TO YOUR TO DO LIST YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!! THANK YOU AGAIN TO YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL WHANAU. A truly exceptional day out from start to finish, loved every minute. Ben our tour guide was amazing, he went out of his way to help my husband navigate a tricky path and kept an eye out for us throughout. We were served a lovely lunch, visited a remote village, enjoyed swimming at the waterfalls and the highlight coming back down the river in inner tubes, what an adventure!Wonderful people, beautiful location, authentic experience. Our guides sang in the most melodious and harmonious voices at one point as we floated downriver. I would not change a thing about our day. Thank you

We were on a cruise with Suva as our port of call. We signed up to go river tubing on the Nauva River. Somehow it seems everything in Fiji is undersold. It was so much more than river tubing. We took a longboat up stream to visit a village that is inaccessible except via the river. What was especially interesting was that there were no preplanned activities. We simply visited and observed daily life. Afterwards we walked into the jungle and swam under a magical waterfall. From there, lunch and then we boarded our inner tubes for a sometimes relaxing and sometimes a bit exciting ride through some rapids. The owner is a direct descendant of John Humphrey Danford the lone Englishman who lived live in the Namosi Highlands amongst the cannibal hill tribes in the 1800s. We really appreciated that the company is locally owned and proceeds go to support locally owned/operated businesses. Plus, the company pays a user fee to the native land owners to provide benefits directly to villagers in an effort to encourage their support of sustainable tourism. One more thought, tubing is for everyone. We are a couple in our 60's, but in our group was a family with the oldest 89. My only disappointment was they had sold out of t-shirts.The best South Pacific excursion we have done! The best South Pacific excursion we have done! Impossible to describe the beauty we saw and the friendliness of all the folks that we met during this excursion. TripAdvisor needs to make some changes so that this excursion shows up under the search on Suva adventures. It also should not be referred to as a tubing experience since that was only a small part of the excursion. There is a bus ride from the port to the country, a very thrilling long-boat ride, a walk through an authentic Fiji village, a very nice hot lunch on the river banks plus the tubing experience. What I will never forget is when my hat blew off and sank into the river and one of the young men dove in and spent several minutes searching the riverbottom trying to find it. This is an adventure that every visitor should experience.
