You could not ask for a better tour guide than Bilal. He communicated with us well before we even arrived to ensure he customized our trip as we wanted. He arranged to have us picked up from the airport as well. Our customized private tour included a trip to the Hercules Caves and the Cap Spartel before we started our tour of the Medina. He was so informative about all the places we saw including the Medina. He was so patient with us while we shopped at the Medina and ensured that we were getting fair prices everywhere we went. Our shopping tour took longer than expected which pushed back out private cooking class with Bilal and his wife but he never rushed us. Bilal and his wife were so gracious to accommodate our late start and made us feel so welcome in their home. I highly recommend Bilal for any tour in Tangier. Even after returning to the US Bilal is still helping us by personally shopping for things that we didn’t get a chance to buy. He has gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy and we get everything we need! Our trip to Morocco was brought to life by our tour guide Bilal. Our trip to Morocco was brought to life by our tour guide Bilal. We were picked up on time in a van that had nice A/C. We were given a tour of the old Médina (old city,) Atlantic Ocean views, && much more. Bilal is full of wonderful information and very knowledgeable about Tangier. To look out from Morocco, North Africa across the Strait of Gibraltar into Spain, Europe—to see the merging of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean— to sit on the walls at Cap Spartel and enter the Cave of Hercules— to see Cafe Baba where legends frequented— to shop at the Grand Socco and eat authentic Moroccan cuisine— We have enjoyed every moment!!! #CapSpartel #CaveOfHercules #GrandSocco #CafeBaba #Medina #TangierCasbah #PerdicarisPark #StraitofGibraltar #BerberHad a wonderful day with Bilal! Had a wonderful day with Bilal! He was knowledgeable, courteous, kind, professional and a great guide to Tangier. His breadth of knowledge was incredible, especially his memory of dates and the history of Tangier. My sister and I forgot to bring cash, (bad idea on our part), and Bilal loaned us the money so that we could have a delicious meal at La Casita del Pescado. Obviously we paid him back but he made sure that we didn’t go hungry! We began our day by driving around Tangier and stopping at a few gorgeous vantage points, all of which were accompanied by opportunities for photos and detailed information about the history of Tangier and notes about the landscape only a local could know. The highlights were riding camels on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Atlantic and an informed tour of the Cave of Hercules. Then, we walked through the Casbah and the medina. Bilal knew and was able to tell us about the architecture and pointed out the differences between Muslim, Italian, French and Spanish architecture that is scattered throughout the city. We felt completely immersed in the culture and it felt like being with a celebrity! Everyone knew Bilal and were shouting out to him. The joke is that he’s more famous than Coca Cola! He took us into a Berber pharmacy, where we were treated to a presentation about how various spices and oils are used for cooking and medicinal purposes. A great opportunity to buy gifts for loved ones or even yourself. We also had lunch at La Casita del Pescado, absolutely amazing food. The swordfish tajine was to die for and the mint tea was delicious, though I recommend trying it without sugar. We made a few other stops at shops including an incredible carpet store, all hand woven! The tour was run incredibly smoothly and very punctual. I HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a well guided tour of Tangier. Thank you so much Bilal! We have had a fabulous day with Bilal . We have had a fabulous day with Bilal . We always joke with our teenagers before a tour that we will give them a multiple choice test at the end and the winner will get E10 to keep their attention but there was no need today as Bilal has a great easy going personality and he held their attention all day . He is very well informed and cleverly balances the information between historical , political , religious , pop culture and day to day life so you get a very immersive experience . It was our first time in Morocco so it was great to get a good handle on the city . My husband talked about the Africa’s Cup Semi which was on and negotiated admirably at the impressive Berber market , (we bought a blanket and pewter tray table) , my teenage son got his designer (copies) threads and my daughters and I got some argon oil and other products in a really cool apothecary . We ate at La Casita a tiny restaurant with real home cooking . The Fish tagine was delicious as was the meatball in tomato sauce . The first part of the tour was with a very safe driver and included the Caves of Hercules which I loved . On route we passed by a park I will call the “ Stockholm syndrome “ park as I can’t remember the name but it has a great story . Everywhere Bilal kept up an easy conversation full of interesting information and was polite and respectful to us and everyone he met . The tour had loads of variety containing a driven part to the distant attractions , a walking part through the kasbah and the Medina , lunch and shopping . Full marks from all 5 of us .We hired Bilal to show us Tangier since we only had a couple of days in Morocco and did not want to risk missing any of the sights and experiences. Bilal was great. We hired Bilal to show us Tangier since we only had a couple of days in Morocco and did not want to risk missing any of the sights and experiences. Bilal was great. He is a very knowledgeable and well spoken guide and was very thoughtful of our needs and what we wanted to see. Our two teenagers were with us and they each enjoyed Bilal's stories and jokes. If you are looking for a guided tour of Tangier, I would recommend hiring Bilal.
