Myself and my fiance were with her son while traveling to Cortona Italy, and our guide set us up with this amazing food tour. Rosaria was an amazing host. OK - so similar to a few other reviews, we also are "food tour groupies", and sign up for one EVERYWHERE we travel. This tour, was literally in the top 2 of tours we have ever done - internationally. First of all - there was a mixup with our tour company and our driver was a bit (30 minutes) late - we arrived and Rosaria had already re-arranged the day for us to still enjoy all our sites. We had plenty of time at each stop, and she provided great history of the city- moreso than even a historical tour might - and she also shared her personal love for the city as she showed us shortcuts, told stories of the former Papal fort as we walked through, and brought us into the backrooms of certain restaurants. She knew most of the restaurant owners personally, and introduced us while never adding any pressure for us to buy items at the shops (although we did go back and buy from them after the tour). She was an excellent host, translator, and source of knowledge and entertainment while we feasted on a TON of local, non-touristy food sources. And did I mention we also had an 11 year old? Quick substitutions were made for him, from the few alcohol stops we made, and no fuss was given - and he did not feel out of place at all. I highly recommend this tour - and you're lucky if you also get Rosaria as your guide!
