This was extremely disappointing. It was certainly not what the description described. We never had the orange tea at Chang Phueak Monument as described, we were not even shown the monument. Should have seen an elephant gate, no didn’t see or hear about that either. We did not relax on a beautiful terrace and enjoy a drink. We did not see Wat Mo Kham Tuang. The host was completely disorganised, the 3 hour time was 1 hour 40 minutes. We went to three places only, 1 street food, 1 vegetarian(we are not vegetarians) and go the local market. She went on about the local market doesn’t open till 6 pm. We were asked to choose off the menu what we want to try, I thought the whole idea was they introduced you to new foods. We could have just walked in off the street to these places without booking the tours and had a better experience. Don’t waste your money and book this tour.We had such a fun first night in Chiang Mai spent with Aei from With Locals, visiting local food stalls and markets. We had such a fun first night in Chiang Mai spent with Aei from With Locals, visiting local food stalls and markets. Aei was very informative, friendly and warm, offering us many dishes to sample and explaining their origins and how they are eaten. We gained a lot of knowledge about Thai customs, ingredients and names of dishes. She ensured the tour had something to interest us all, and we finished full, with a relaxing drink by the river. Thanks so much Aei, absolutely recommend!Naphat showed the four of us (60’s couples from the US) an excellent snapshot of Chiang Mai’s food scene at local markets and street vendors, sprinkling in personal and historical context that you can’t get from a guidebook. Great time, great food!

Excellent tour! Boy took us to several street food restaurants just outside the north gate of Old Town and ordered us some of the best (and cheapest) food we have had in Thailand. He was also extremely knowledgeable about some of the local northern Thailand history, which was very interesting. He spoke excellent English. I now feel comfortable eating street food, where to go, what to look for and what to avoid. Highly recommend!
