Today is our 10th day getting to know Buenos Aires. As you might imagine, by now we have eaten at the best parrillas in town. But we always put significant effort during our travels to find a truly authentic, locally owned and operated cooking class that can top off our appreciation for the gastronomic arts and traditions of a place. With The Asado Experience, we hit a bullseye!!! Everything about the class was top notch and flawlessly executed. Best setting, best meat cuts, best equipment, best wine, best instructors, etc., etc. I cannot exaggerate de absolute care and perfection of how Belén and her team executed this event!! With "all 5s" reviews, my expectations were high, and this class still manage to exceed them. Bravo!! What I was NOT expecting, was to come out of this class with a set of new AWESOME FRIENDS. Around the parrilla Argentinans, Indians, Americans, Colombians, and Serbians bonded for life. I'm totally serious. Be ready to become culturally enriched, and to grow a new set of friends from all over the world. Wow! God bless you Belén. You offer the absolutely right experience for teaching the best parrilla techniques, and for making this world a better, friendlier place!!!We had a great time at "the Asado Experience". We had a great time at "the Asado Experience". Belén and Cande taught us several grilling techniques to easily grill beautiful Argentinian cuts. Belén handpicks each perfect cut at the butcher as well as the veggies from the farm stands. In addition to the great flavorful meal and wine, we had fun conversations at the table with the other guests and her crew. The Asado Experience is one to have when visiting Buenos Aires. Todo estuvo delicioso, las mollejas tenían un sabor inolvidable. Un buen vino, un gran asado, postre argentino y una buena conversación, que más se puede pedir. This was an amazing experience that made us feel like we were family and even my 17 and 14 year old were impressed. The food was excellent and the home and patio are beautiful. One of our favorite experiences on our trip.

Ok, Argentina has a lot of attractions. Patagonia, Bariloche, Iguazu Falls, Mendoza and, of course, countess more in Buenos Aires. Towering above those is Belen Richards Donnelly and her Asado. I am at a loss for words, but let me say the food was incomparable as was this company and that is as it should be. Not going to Belen's asado is akin to going to Paris and ignoring the Eifel Tower. Do not, repeat, do not, miss this experience and let Belen help you with your wine choice. Muchas gracias, mi amiga nueva!I can't recommend this enough - the photos if anything do not do the experience justice. I can't recommend this enough - the photos if anything do not do the experience justice. Belen is a lovely and charismatic host and asado expert and the setting is idyllic in a large and beautiful period house in downtown Buenos Aires. Despite the fact that we were a group of 5 tourists (and 1 local) who had spent the past week religiously making asado night and day, we learnt a huge amount and had a great evening.
