Praveen is the perfect guide to Bangalore and Mysore! In one day, he introduced us to so many facets of the Bangalore region - historical and cultural, past and present. His enthusiasm for his city is infectious - we really felt like we had taken a deep dive into what makes Bangalore tick, and why historically it has become the high tech Silicon Valley of India. Praveen is very accommodating - it was our first trip to India from Australia and we had business meetings/conference later in the week, so we were nervous about big crowds and food outside the hotels. Praveen obligingly altered the tour for us. Instead of meals and markets, he took us to a tiny village to see silk being made the traditional way. We then had a "David Attenborough" experience when he took us to another village with hundreds of painted storks - they have been coming to this village for 300 years each year to breed. He took us up to the flat roof of a house, so we were level with the birds' nests - unbelievable! This is where his local knowledge is exceptional and offers the flexibility/authenticity that a large tour can't offer. Then we went to the spectacular, extravagant Mysore palace (one of the top sites of India) and the ancient, serene Chennakesava stone temple. We highly recommend going on the tour during the week (esp. Monday) rather than the weekend. We almost had the temple to ourselves, which was a surreal experience in crowded India!! We finished the day at Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace - which was the residence of the Duke of Wellington when he was the Governor of Mysore before his Waterloo years. Obviously, we highly recommend Praveen's tour if you want to immerse yourself in the true India for a day! Next time we will be braver and try the meals which Praveen says are highly vetted and delicious - something to look forward to!Mindblowing tour to see India as it is: ancient temples, a palace with colonial flare, a rural village with hundreds of storks, authentic food and a walk through a market like in an Indiana Jones movie. Mindblowing tour to see India as it is: ancient temples, a palace with colonial flare, a rural village with hundreds of storks, authentic food and a walk through a market like in an Indiana Jones movie. This tour is definitely a real adventure! I did it with Pradeep, the best Tour Guide I ever met. Beside him being a fantastic person with a huge heart, he knows all the details of the places you are going to see and will give you a look behind the curtain of time and an insight that you would never get if you would have been on your own. Definitely worth doing this tour! What a day we spent on Mysore tour!!! It started from fantastic breakfast with almost 10 types of delicious bread with additions. It continued with breath taking view on hundreds of painted storks in 20 meters from you, ancient temple and ended with beautiful Mysore Palace. Praveen always surprises: this time we had lunch in a very authentic place, tried coconut water and even seen silk cocoons! I am very thankful for this day, care and great story telling. Looking forward to join you on new tour next time!Great trip to Mysore. Praveen is an excellent, knowledgeable, and pleasent guide. Both the breakfast and lunch was amazing and memorable. I had an excellent all day tour tour starting with pickup from my hotel in Bangalore. The traffic was low so we made it to the first stop in just 2 hours, Tipu Sultans summer palace. Then we saw a few more interesting sights around there before going to the main attraction Mysore palace. This has lived up to the very high expectations, it really is one of the top sights in India. Lavish rooms and magnificent exterior, really definitely worth coming here. After that we visited the very vibrant market. I have been to several in India before, but this was one of the most colorful so far, and also less hectic than most others, well organized. After lunch we visited an ancient temple with amazing carvings before returning to Bangalore. My guide Faizel was really excellent. His English is great, and his explanations are just right, doesn't overwhelm you but patiently answers all questions. Also he did not try to pressure us with time, I felt very good at all sights, and we spent quite some time at Mysore palace, after the interior visit we carefully walked around the whole place for lots of photos (which are allowed both inside and outside). They also didn't try to take me for any shopping stops, which I really appreciated. Overall I was very happy with the tour, guide and driver and felt that it was a good choice to spend a day to go to Mysore, it's the main sight in Karnataka. I highly recommend this tour.A fantastic tour of some must-see sights around Mysuru. My favourite destination was definitely the Chennekeshiva Temple with its mind-blowingly detailed stonework. A fantastic tour of some must-see sights around Mysuru. My favourite destination was definitely the Chennekeshiva Temple with its mind-blowingly detailed stonework. Mysore Palace was also a must-see, and our tour guide Pradeep pointed out so many fantastic details for us. He is a very smart, witty, knowledgeable and enjoyable guide! We then had a beautiful lunch and beer down by the river on Srirangapatana, where we could simply enjoy a really peaceful and relaxing surrounds. A really wonderful way to spend a day learning about history and seeing incredible architecture.
