The Bogotá Food Experience
Overview
In this experience you will discover the unique flavors of the different Colombian regions. We will go to 7 places in total within the La Candelaria neighborhood and sample a variety of traditional foods. We will visit multiple family-owned businesses to try authentic dishes and interact with locals. In a single afternoon, you will be able to learn more about the Colombian culture through its food and history. This tour is accomodating for both vegetarian and vegan preferences , please just let your guide know. We will eat plenty of samples over the course of the tour so please make sure you come hungry!
**We are constantly changing the venues we visit to accomodate whatever is going on in the city, so the photos and attractions listed may not be the same as the day you do the tour.**
**Please make sure you bring good walking shoes, an umbrella, and water. Make sure you give yourself enough time with the traffic to arrive at the starting point.**

What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: La PUERTA de la CATEDRAL, Cl. 11 #6-26, La Candelaria, Bogotá, Colombia
We will try the most authentic dish of the capital, Ajiaco, in one of the most beautiful and representative restaurants of the historical centre of Bogotá.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Restaurante Carbón de Leña, Carrera 52 Sur # 40-44, barrio, Puente Aranda, Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Colombia
Here we will try one of the most interesting foods from the region Orinoquia de Colombia. It is a very traditional dish of Colombia.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: CAFE DEL CHORRO, Cl. Del Embudo #12B-35 SOTANO 1, Bogotá, Colombia
We will visit one of the most cozy restaurants around the historical center to try traditional patacones with the secret hogao from the chef.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Restaurante Fulanitos Candelaria, Cl. 12 #1-60, Bogotá, Colombia
In this special stop we will try cuisine from the Valle del Cauca region and, more specifically, the Caleño aborrajado.
Duration: 20 minutes

I really can't decide which was my favorite but all 7 restaurants were great.Wonderful tour with a variety of local foods. The guide is very knowledgeable about the cultural history of the food.
