The second portion of the tour takes place in Little Italy. Once you enter Little Italy, you will see the bright décor and buzzing excitement. You will soon learn about Little Italy’s fascinating past by visiting historical landmarks and hearing colorful stories. From there your guide will lead you to explore the mom and pop specialty shops of Little Italy, samplings include fresh mozzarella with prosciutto, imported cheeses and olives and fresh pasta. Before saying arrivederci, your guide will take you to the well-known and historic pasticceria, Ferrara's Bakery and Café. This is where your guide will provide you with an in-depth description of the Italian American immigrants while you enjoy Ferrara's ever famous cannoli.
The final destination is in close proximity to Chinatown allowing you to continue to explore both neighborhoods on your own and retrace your steps. My bestie and I are native Brooklynites, but we wanted to be tourists for the day to celebrate her birthday. We love to eat so we decided to take a food tour through two of our favorite NYC neighborhoods…Chinatown and Little Italy. We are so glad we did! It was a beautiful Spring day. The pace of the tour was great. We ate a ton and left quite full! We saw places and streets we hadn’t seen before. We learned some history. But the stars of the day were the tour guides, Liz and Dana. They were personable, knowledgeable and funny. We left there thinking “we could be friends with them”. A great time, great food and in the best city of the world! Thanks Liz and Dana!!Tour started on time and was very enjoyable and informative. We learned so much about the history of the areas and the people. Lorna was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Food was delicious Nd there was LOTS of it.

It was also amazingly organized, so that each stop was a seamless transition from the last. I’ll definitely be booking again with a larger group :)

Not what we expected. Food was okay, and they did feed you more than enough! What we really struggled with was the guide, Zoe, she didn’t really engage with anyone on the tour. She was extremely knowledgeable, but even when she spoke, her voice was quiet and she didn’t look at anyone. She looked off into the distance. After quickly explaining things that most couldn’t hear, she then would just get on her phone. I believe most others felt the same as no one talked much and most looked bored. I’ve been on many food tours and this was the worst. Not worth the money. I’d encourage you to look for another company. This was my second time taking a food tour in NYC and this one was fantastic! This was my second time taking a food tour in NYC and this one was fantastic! It was really helpful to get myself oriented to the neighborhoods where Chinatown and Little Italy were located and to know where some of the good restaurants were and what to get there. All the food on the tour was delicious and I appreciated that the tour guide either had the food pre-paid and ready when we got to a location or she bought it and brought it out very quickly. This tour was a lot less walking than the food tour that I had taken previously. The only change I would make would be slightly less dialogue about the neighborhoods/restaurant/food/history so that the tour would be a bit faster-paced!
