You'll weave a path through Imperial Court coronations, drag kings at the Quadra, gay ministers at the United Church, Patient Zero, the GRID crisis, and visit urban oasis Nelson Park, until you find yourself in the gaybourhood on Davie Street.
The walking tour strolls the historic tree-lined West End as you discover the city's earliest Pride parade, Jim Deva Plaza, bookstore bombings, a transgender campaigner who blew the whistle on the biggest crime in Vancouver history, Vancouver’s secret gay village, and the remarkable story of two-spirited warrior Gone to the Spirits.

This was my second time taking part of The Really Gay History Tour!! I had gone a few months prior to Covid and promised myself to do it again, this time bringing my partner and more friends along. Glenn is an amazing storyteller and honestly the best tour guide I've ever had!

I booked a private tour for my team the other day and was quite blown away by Glenn. I used to be a tour guide in Vancouver, and I am queer, with a pretty solid grasp on some of this history of the Vancouver area. Alas, Glenn shared many stories I had never heard, and his delivery was on point. One thing that really stood out to me was his awareness and cultural humility around indigenous people, history of two spirit people, and the land thru which he guided us. I am very grateful, and would recommend this to anyone who would like to learn more about our history, our present and what we are seeing on the horizon for our communities.Glenn himself was my favourite part of the tour, He is so knowledgeable> He made the tour both tons of fun and so interesting. I'm so glad I did not miss this tour.
