Stops during this half-day tour include one of the most revered religious monuments in Myanmar, a guided journey commences with a landmark of invaluable proportions. Said to rival Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon in terms of religious importance, Mandalay’s Mahamuni Pagoda is a blissful example of the importance of Buddhism in the country. Constructed during the 18th century, its gilded interior and exterior are among the finest examples around. The complex's centrepiece is a Buddha image that was made originally out of alloy but now layered with thin foils of gold. It is now is expected to weigh over a ton.

The tour was satisfactory. It was a hot, muggy and dusty day so that probably made it a 4 star. The guide, Mr. Aung Naing Win, was excellent, he and the driver were atentive and very accommodating.

Amazing private tour. Our tour guide May was very knowledgeable, spoke clearly and took all our needs into account. We visited the most amazing sights in just 4 hours, which even our child could enjoy. Tour was also very flexible as we could go pretty anywhere we wanted and stay as long or short as we wanted. At the end we even took a detour to a central mall, had lunch there at our own cost, and they took us back to the hotel afterwards. Thanks guys!

This was a fantastic tour of the cultural aspects of Mandalay. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave us a really in depth understanding of the religious and cultural values here. His name was Da Da That's what it sounded like. You took us from a simple monestary to the golden palace monestary which at one time had been completely covered in gold leaf.
A tour well worth taking. You really can't do it by yourself. You need a guide who can explain what you are seeing.
Hlaing Hlaing Yo was an excellent guide and was happy to answer all our questions. We went to two teak temples, a wood carving shop, the gold beating shop, the world’s largest book and finished in Mandalay Hill. It was very informative tour and we would recommend it.
