Pass By: Pliva Lakes, Jajce Bosnia and Herzegovina
Enjoy lovely view of Pliva lakes...
Stop At: Mlincici, Park Plivsko jezero, Jajce 70101 Bosnia and Herzegovina
The little windowless huts sit on top of skinny stilts right over the gushing water. Since the flow here is spread out, by using a series of little mills instead of one big water wheel, the diffuse water power could be aggregated. Pretty ingenious. Most of the huts go back to the period of the Austro-Hungarian empire (about 1867 to 1918), and they give the impression of a little storybook village.

Stop At: Pliva Waterfall, H.V. Hrvatinica, Jajce 70101 Bosnia and Herzegovina
At 17 meters in height, the Pliva waterfall is one of the most notable features of Jajce. This natural monument is located in the very centre of the town and has been named one of twelve most beautiful waterfalls in the world.

Stop At: Catacomb of Jajce, Svetog Luke, Jajce 70101 Bosnia and Herzegovina
Built around 1400 AD for the aristocratic Hrvatnić family, this two-level crypt is small and roughly hewn but artfully half-lit and notable for the boldly sculpted cross, sun and crescent moon motifs (downstairs), a rare surviving memorial to the independent Bosnian Church.

We had explored Sarajevo thoroughly and were looking for something to do on the following day in Bosnia when we stumbled across Meet Bosnia. At first attracted by the competitive pricing, we decided to sign up after a very good explanation by their staff. Our guide was Samir, and he picked us up on time and we were the only ones on the tour. Samir was knowledgeable on all the attractions we visited. Lots of local history and geography knowledge was shared, and we particularly liked the fact that he was always cognisant on when to provide information and when to let a couple have some private time, especially during lunch. We were so impressed we signed up for another tour with them before the day ended!I liked the tour !!! I highly recommend doing the Tranvik and Jajce tour, as there are wonderful landscapes. I liked the tour !!! I highly recommend doing the Tranvik and Jajce tour, as there are wonderful landscapes. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a very beautiful country, its food is very rich and its people are warm, friendly and very hospitable. Our guide Samir is a worthy example of what I mention. He gave us an excellent explanation of the places visited and generated a lot of interest in me, changed the perspective I had at the beginning of my visit and enriched us with all his knowledge, I would definitely come back because it seems to me an extremely interesting country. I am happy and enjoy this journey very much.
