A very informative day with Mario. Departing San Diego, crossing the border to Tijuana, first stop was the Tijuana Cultural Centre. Then onto the beach and Trumps Wall. After a wander around then onto Avenida Revolucion. Be prepared to see zebra donkeys, locals and tourists. Next stop is lunch, tacos, yum. Then onto a city market before heading back across the border to California. A good taste of Mexico, highly recommend if you are short of time. I did the tour as a solo female traveller and Mario made sure I felt safe and looked after at wach stop.I 100% totally recommend Mario & his tours. I 100% totally recommend Mario & his tours. Myself & my 3 teenage children from Australia had originally booked a similar tour with another tour company who did not show at our accommodation to pick us up or answer my phone calls. Within 30mins of calling Mario he was at our accommodation and we were on our own private tour to Tijuana. He was so warm, welcoming, reassuring and a wealth of knowledge!! We all loved the tour immensely. Thank you Mario!!!! You are a champion!!What a fabulous day! It could not have been better. We got to see and do so much in such a short space of time. What a fabulous day! It could not have been better. We got to see and do so much in such a short space of time. Mario was fantastic, his knowledge of the history of Mexico and his ability to engage and tell the story really made the visit to the Cultural Centre so interesting and engaging. The mix of history and experience of visiting the markets, the seaside where the infamous wall ends, the authentic Mexican tacos for lunch, craft beer tasting and visit to the place where the Caesar Salad was invented all gave a wonderful well rounded taste of Mexico. This trip with Mario in particular is highly recommended. One of the most enjoyable days that I have had in my 6 1/2 weeks in America. One of the most enjoyable days that I have had in my 6 1/2 weeks in America. Mario was ever so informative and we went to numerous interesting places. He would have to be a number one tour guide. I have done many tours and been to many places but I have not experienced such an amazing day as my day in Mexico. It is all so colourful and the taco’s and Caesar salad are so yummy, too. I would recommend doing a tour with Baya. California Wine Tours. There are a great variety of tours.Baja California Wine Tours provided us with the most amazing tour of the region. Baja California Wine Tours provided us with the most amazing tour of the region. Our guide/owner Mario was kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The day was awesome. We started our morning pick up in Chula Vista, CA with an offer of light breakfast- coffee/pastries. From there we traveled to Tijuana. The ride was comfortable, and our guide engaged us in conversation during the short drive to the border. Mario certainly knows his history and is definitely up on current events. I was truly impressed. We toured local neighborhoods, snagged some good trinkets, had lobster lunch on the beach while being serenaded by our own Mariachi band. All in all this was one of the best experiences I've EVER had. I would gladly do this with Baja California Wine Tours again. We were staying in San Diego and wanted to visit Mexico for a day trip. We were staying in San Diego and wanted to visit Mexico for a day trip. We were both keen to see Tijuana and experience some of the local culture, food, and beverages. Enter Mario! What an amazing and unforgettable experience!! Mario was a professional and extremely knowledgable host who took the time to show us a great time. His local knowledge was highly beneficial when deciding what to do and see. We have definitely got lasting memories and will remember Mario's hospitality with fondness. He even took photos of us during our trip and provided all of the images for free when our trip was completed. We would recommend Mario's tours above all.
