We will take you through the streets and will stop at the most iconic and photo-worthy spots while fostering new friendships!
The tour will focus heavily on the history of the buildings we visit including accounts about some of the architects, founders, or influential people who somehow shaped what you see in the present day.
We hope to bring people closer to the places they visit, and provide context of how the places have been shaped by people. Yonge & Dundas Square is often referred to as "mini-times square". It sits next to the world-renowned Eaton's shopping center. It is here we will start the tour, do introductions, talk about what we will see over the course of the tour and get to know the basics of each other and the city!
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Old City Hall, 60 Queen St W, Toronto, Ontario M5H 2M3 Canada
Old City Hall is a beautiful piece of Romanesque Revival Architecture. It was built by famed Toronto architect E.J Lennox and is a protected heritage building today. Here we will learn about E.J Lennox's legacy in Toronto architecture and the history of the city hall.

Stop At: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St W, Toronto, Ontario M5H 2N1 Canada
Nathan Philips Square & New City Hall (THE TORONTO SIGN). These 2 attractions have been called the "heart" of the city of Toronto. The square is the largest public square in the city & because of this hosts many events, protests, farmer's markets, fireworks, etc.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Osgoode Hall, 130 Queen St W, Toronto, Ontario ON M5H 2N5 Canada
Osgoode Hall is a fantastic example of late Pallidian style and this beautiful building & gardens are home to a law school, a division of the Supreme court of Canada, and the Great Library. Here we will learn about the development of the judicial system throughout the history of Toronto.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Toronto-Dominion Centre, King St. W and Wellington St W, Toronto, Ontario Canada
TD Square sits in the heart of the financial district. This collection of black buildings lines Bay Street (The Wall Street of Toronto) and is a marvel to look at. It is here we will learn about the development of the banks, roots of the Canadian economy & discuss the whimsical artpiece in the center of the square known as "The Pasture".
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Brookfield Place, 181 Bay St, Toronto, Ontario M5J 2T3 Canada
It is here we will walk through the photography-hot spot Allen Lambert Galleria. We will learn about the Galleria itself as well as some background on the famed Tim Hortons brand (there is one in the galleria). Here guests will also have an opportunity to use the washroom if needed and a 10-15 minute snack break.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Berczy Park, 35 Wellington Street East, Toronto, Ontario M5E 1C6 Canada
This park is often a fan favourite for the dog fountain located in the middle. It's a pretty place to learn about who the park was named after. There are benches here for guests to sit on if they are tired while they listen to the guide.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Gooderham (Flatiron) Building, 49 Wellington St E, Toronto, Ontario M5E 1C9 Canada
The Gooderham/Flat iron building is one of the most photographed places in all of Toronto (and you'll see why)! This beautiful building can't help but capture onlookers gaze. We will quickly stop here and learn about the history of the building and it's connections to the Distillery District (and of course grab a few photos)!
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: St James Anglican Cathedral, 65 Church St (at King St. E.), Toronto, Ontario M5C 2E9 Canada
The founder of St. James Cathedral played a huge role in the development of Toronto. It is here we will stop outside the church to admire the Gothic-Revival church and to learn about the tragic history this church has endured.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Toronto's First Post Office, 260 Adelaide St E, Toronto, Ontario M5A 1N1 Canada
We will also do a walk-by stop of St. Lawrence Hall but there is a glitch and Viator won't let me add that as a stop. St. Lawrence Hall was an event space for the 19th century elite (and is still an event space today)! The second-last stop is an indoor stop at Toronto's first post office. It is here we will sit in the reading room and learn about the history of the post office and discuss the Rebellion of 1837 (an important milestone in Toronto history). Guests will have an opportunity to look around for a few minutes before we venture to our final stop.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: St. Lawrence Market, 92-95 Front St. E., Toronto, Ontario M5E 1C3 Canada
Our final stop of the tour and one of my personal favourites is St. Lawrence Market. It was once named the greatest food market in the world by National Geographic!! We will talk about the history of the market and I will gladly give you some recommendations of which foods to try while exploring the market! The tour ends here and you will be left to explore the market at your own individual pace.

Our tour guide, Erica, is very knowledgeable in the many facts and research she must have done to make each stop extremely interesting. Her enthusiastic, positive personality and love for her city shone through at each stop! This 1 1/2 hour tour gave us a taste of more to come, and we would strongly recommend both 'locals' and 'visitors' to take this WALKING tour (walking, rather than riding a tour bus allows one to enter the buildings, not just drive by). You don't have to go to Europe to see history!!I really enjoyed this tour! Our guide was super knowledgeable and professional.
