What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Kolorina Bay, Skalini dr. Marka Foteza 2, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The picturesque Kolorina Bay (AKA The Blackwater Bay) is an important part of the tour as it poses as the setting for a dozen iconic scenes from the Game of Thrones.
Though often overlooked by standard visitors, this historic suburb of the Old Town of Dubrovnik provides some of the best vistas of the majestic City Walls and the nearby Lovrijenac Fortress.
Aside from checking out the GOT sites, you'll also have a chance to learn about the strategic importance of the remarkable Dubrovnik fortification system and hear some intriguing legends about the city and the surrounding area.
Duration: 25 minutes
Stop At: Pile Gate, Ulica Vrata od Pila, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The imposing main entrance to the Old Town of Dubrovnik is brilliantly featured in the several GOT scenes ranging from season 2, 3, 4 and 5. Each of these scenes is shot from a different angle which makes it look as if its always a different place.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Stradun Old Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The shiny magnificent thoroughfare of the Dubrovnik historic city center is featured only in the final season of the GOT, however for the most iconic scene - the destruction of King's Landing.
The Stradun (formally known as Placa) is the main street of Old Town that boasts some of the most important Dubrovnik landmarks (Franciscan Monastery's ancient pharmacy, Large Onofrio's Fountain, Sponza Palace, Church of St Blaise...) whose historic significance will be shared with you as we walk from one point to other.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Dominican Monastery, Svetoga Dominika 4, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The St Dominic Street in front of the Dominican Monastery is featured three times in the show, always playing an important role. You will have a chance to witness how the budget for special effects got bigger as the filming progressed as it completely altered the perception of the same location.
Lastly, you will also learn about the secret behind the "modesty barrier" (that is also featured in the Walk of Shame) and potentially sample the best ice cream in town.
*Please note that the tour doesn't take you to the Dominican Monastery, but just to the St Dominic street (we won't be entering the monastery as it wasn't featured in the show, we're just stopping in front)
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Ploce Gate, Ulica Sv. Dominika, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The Ploce Gate and the adjacent Arms Square is another filming point that we often use to end our tours. One of the major scenes from the show played out at this point and it overlooks several other locations that were featured in the earlier seasons of the Game of Thrones.
Other from that it allows for a perfect panoramic picture of the Old Town port.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Rector's Palace, Pred Dvorom 1, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
Though Dubrovnik's Old Town plays the role of King's Landing, the fictional capital of Westeros, the atrium of the Rector's Palace (the main seat of government of the medieval Dubrovnik Republic) is actually featured as a location from Qarth, which is located across the Narrow Sea.
Aside from explaining how one portion of Qarth ended up in the heart of King's Landing, the guide will also explain why the ancient Dubrovnik Republic changed the governor (Rector) every month.
*The Rector's Palace is now a museum that requires the payment of the entrance fee, however all the filming points inside can be easily seen from the entrance so we won't need to physically go inside.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Poljana R. Boskovica, Dubrovnik Croatia
The staircase that leads to the Jesuit church of St Ingatius is probably the best known iconic point on this tour which the Game of Thrones fans will be able to recognize in an instant.
However, aside from the most obvious scene, the staircase is also used in several others that our guide will share with you.
Aside from that, you will learn what the building was actually used for in the past and present.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: The Rupe Museum, Od Rupa 3 Siroka Ulica, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The EXTERIOR of the Ethnographic museum (AKA Rupe) is used as the point where a great deal of action in King's Landing takes place - the infamous Littlefinger's Brothel.
The streets around the museum are actually used as the setting for slums of fictional capital of Westeros - the Flea Bottom.
The interior of the Rupe museum (which was used as the main granary for the Old Town of Dubrovnik during the medieval times) is not featured in the show, but the streets around it are.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Dubrovnik City Shop, Boshkoviceva 7 Old City, Dubrovnik 20000 Croatia
The site where the Iron Throne is located in the Old Town of Dubrovnik. This place is usually reserved for the end of the tour, but since we often take detours in order to avoid the crowds so the visit to this point might be arranged in the middle of tour.
Our tours are private so we always play it by ear.

My wife got me a private tour for us for my birthday. I was sceptical because I'm not very friendly and thought a few hours with a random tour guide would be awkward and a group one would be better. I was wrong Tom is a great guy the whole tour was very relaxed and i felt really at ease throughout it. Amazing knowledge, he had loads of GOT facts and the photo book he has to show you the actual scenes was brilliant he also moved us around the fort and old town though back streets to get ahead of tour groups so we could get photos of just us. I dont normally write reviews but I was so impressed with this tour i had to write one. He also taught us loads of stuff about Dobrovnik and showed us where the Buza bar was which was amazing. 100% recommend. We had a terrific private tour with Tom! I was also very impressed that he managed a tour during the big marathon and expertly tailored the experience to navigate around street closures and crowds. What was there not to like! Tom is absolutely brilliant, passion and enthusiasm from start to finish and so knowledgable. He personalised the tour after asking a few questions about what we wanted from the tour which was great. Tom knows every place to stand for the very best photos, uses screen shots from the series to support his narrative and guides you to the best ice cream parlour at the end! Toilet stops in abundance and an addition guide re the cheapest place to pick up a cold beer. It’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us!Tom was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the city of Dubrovnik history and Game of Thrones episodes shot there and in the area. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Dubrovnik, even if you are just a casual fan of the show.
