The 12 hours spent across 3 days with Jitendra and Naresh at Pacific Art was the highlight of my trip. I went looking for them after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. Both the brothers are very passionate about teaching and the Art. Their work is very exquisite and so is their passion for teaching. Jitendra gave me some drill lessons at the beginning and gauged my potential. He constantly guided me to do better and I was proud of myself of what I was able to achieve. The lessons were filled with conversation around life & art and the amazing chai during the breaks was cherry on the top. For those who have keen interest in studying and exploring art, please do find them in Udaipur and at least have a conversation over a cup of tea!I had a fantastic morning here with Jeetu, learning how to paint in the traditional miniature style. He took real care to teach me the techniques and have me practise them before starting my painting, it was a wonderful experience and a very calming way to spend a morning. Jeetu is a kind soul and an excellent teacher. We heard about this family business “ Pacific Art” from one of the brothers, Naresh, who spoke to my husband and I in the street. He explained that their painting bizzo is not in the main tourist drag, but worth a visit, as we could see on Trip Advisor. So after going out sightseeing we found our way there using GPS. It is a tiny shop, but we had a most pleasant time learning to paint in the technique of miniature painting, using pure pigments and camel eyelash and other brushes (all provided). The brother who taught us (Jeetu) was most patient and very kind, guiding us through the methods to use. We were happy with our finished pieces and happy after the 3 hours or so to then look at the collection of professional paintings in the shop. We bought two small paintings, and one larger one, and those plus the lessons cost 9000 Indian rupees, which we felt was well worth it for a lovely afternoons mindfulness, learning, and entertainment. Being off the tourist road, and operating independently, Naresh is anxious to attract further business, and we would recommend a visit, and definitely do have a painting lesson! Our efforts pictured. We are no professionals but are happy with them anyway! Thanks Naresh and Jeetu!I attended a four hour cause in miniaturepainting. I had the best teacher and coach to guide me. Danke
