Traditional Vinho Verde Tour in Bowl with Private Transfer (Porto and Braga)
Overview
This is a unique experience for those who wish to know the traditions and histories of the familiar production of the famous Portuguese Green Wine. Our tour is focused on the curiosities and techniques used by small producers, who value much more for quality and not for the quantity of wine produced.
And it will not only be about wine, but our tour aims to revive all the family traditions of the region, such as cooking, hunting and routine of the field that, despite technological and industrial times, has been maintained from generation to generation. generation in this region of Portugal.

Inclusions
- Breakfast - Tasting products with regional tradition, such as broas, cheeses, smoked, typical fruits, marmalade, honey and etc.
- Lunch - Full meal in a traditional restaurant in the Minho region. The main dish of the house is the typical "Portuguese Cod"

What to expect
We will start with a breakfast in a traditional green wine vineyard with a breathtaking view. While enjoying the regional delicacies, you will learn about the history of wine production in Portugal. As you walk through the grape plantation, you will learn the techniques of local farmers, from planting to harvesting.
Continuing, we will follow the path that the grapevine travels from the vineyard to an 18th century wine cellar still in use. In this part, you will receive explanations on wine production in a family tradition. In addition, it will be possible to taste the wine made there and to know the historical artifacts used by that family.
Our tour continues on a medieval bridge with mysterious writings. Traditional lunch is included, you will be taken to an original restaurant of the region where you can enjoy the "cod with potatoes to the punch" among other spices.
After lunch, the next stop is the church and Catholic shrine of Santa Senhorinha de Basto, a stone chapel made in the 16th century. The tour ends at the railway museum where you can enter old carriages and observe the details of a royal carriage.

I spent a marvellous day todays with my hosts Patrícia and Gil on their ‘Trafitional Wine Tour in the Bowl’. Vinho Verde is a young wine and comes both in white and red. In this part of Portugal it is traditional to drink it from bowls. The tour was not restricted to the wines. Patrícia and ...
I spent a marvellous day todays with my hosts Patrícia and Gil on their ‘Trafitional Wine Tour in the Bowl’. Vinho Verde is a young wine and comes both in white and red. In this part of Portugal it is traditional to drink it from bowls. The tour was not restricted to the wines. Patrícia and Gil also showed me the village in which they live, a railway museum and a beautiful church. Breakfast at Patricia and Gil’s and lunch in a local restaurant were both generous and tasty.Nicole_R
