Buna channel is a place where the river Buna flows into the river Neretva. A place where the blue-green beauty of the Neretva passes through a narrow natural channel created a thousand years ago. At the confluence of the Buna and the Neretva, nature offers the greatest splendor of colors, a combination of water, greenery, and stone. The scene is different every time, depending on the season and the amount of water in the cannal.

Medieval stone town Počitelj is built in the 14th century by the order of Bosnian king Tvrtko. Often referred to as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ‘open-air museum’, its location in a natural karst amphitheater on the bank of the Neretva river is both stunning and strategic. Along with its stunning oriental architecture and Ottoman feel, in Pocitelj you can always enjoy eating figs, grapes, pomegranates, and other various organic fruit.

We had such a fantastic day with Esmer as our guide, seeing parts of the country we would otherwise have missed, as well as learning so much along the way. Esmer is so knowledgeable about the area’s history, geography, flora and fauna - I’m sure that there isn’t a single question he wouldn’t know...
We had such a fantastic day with Esmer as our guide, seeing parts of the country we would otherwise have missed, as well as learning so much along the way. Esmer is so knowledgeable about the area’s history, geography, flora and fauna - I’m sure that there isn’t a single question he wouldn’t know the answer to! He also told us about life in the area during and after the war - although we’re old enough to remember news coverage at the time, hearing about it from Esmer’s personal experience was really powerful. He was a brilliant host - we were all well looked after. It was a very hot day - the country was in the middle of a heatwave, and Esmer gave us all water and homegrown fruit. He is such a kind, considerate person, we felt so lucky to have him. This is a family business and our transfer to Dubrovnik was also interesting and enjoyable - we learnt a lot from our lovely driver, Esmer’s cousin (whose name we didn’t catch, sorry), who took us safely to the old town. Bosnia & Herzegovina is a beautiful country and this tour is a perfect way of seeing and learning about it from such lovely people. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.Marisa_A

Vedad, our tour guide is a gem! He made the whole experience memorable for my mom and me. He ensured that the experience wasn't just a transfer, he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind, and always had fun facts. At each spot, he made sure to tell us relevant interesting history and then gave us time to explore. I usually hate tours because they feel rushed but Vedad made sure this tour felt unique and special for both. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see great sights on way to Dubrovnik (and honestly this is very fairly priced for other transfer options out there) and if the transfer is not needed I just highly recommend reaching out to this company for any tour with Vedad!
