We chose to take the Trastevere tour because we stayed there 2 years ago and enjoyed the neighbourhood's atmosphere. It's amazing how little you know. Our expert local Trasteverino guide Rish showed us the culinary secrets that were hidden behind unmarked doors we passed by the last time on our way to some touristic resaurants. We had a great, eye opening, learning experience, laced with history and culture. We recommend it whole heartedly. P.S. Don't forget to order the alcohol package. We were so happy to have booked this food tour on our second day in Rome. Luka was a great guide. He was funny and very knowledgable . We were so happy to have booked this food tour on our second day in Rome. Luka was a great guide. He was funny and very knowledgable . When we booked a food tour we assumed it would only be tasting food. Which didn’t seem so bad, but we soon realised we’d be learning cool facts about Rome, and Italy In general , as well as learning things about the food we were trying . Luka also spoke very good and clear English which was great because English is my first language , but not my husbands. The 3 hours flew by and thanks to Luka, we knew exactly what to Order when we went out to eat for the remainder Of our trip. Thanks to Luka and this tour, my husband knew what Suppli was and ordered it again and again! Thanks Luka!!! -Stephanie and Bryan from Belgium 🇧🇪Val was outstanding and a superb educator. Italy is full of art, architecture, ancient ruins, cathedrals and churches, but the food ties it all together in my opinion. Thanks to Val for a pleasant 4 hour tutorial on what Italian food is, where it comes from and how to appreciate it. Well worth the time and price. My friend and I did this tour and loved our guide, Luca! All the stops had delicious food, and we loved hearing the stories behind it, and meeting the families that make it. Not too long of a walk, and a lot of food and drinks for the price. Would highly recommend!
