Pass By: Jericho Cable Car, Elisha's Spring street, Jericho Palestinian Territories
During this tour, we won't be making a stop at the Cable Car or Mount of Temptation. Instead, we'll enjoy a scenic view of these attractions from the old city of Jericho. This adjustment was made based on feedback we've received over the past few years, taking into account concerns about the closure of the monastery, the limited options available in the area, including an expensive restaurant, costly shopping, potential tourist traps, and the fact that it costs 60 shekels to go up the mountain.
Stop At: Zaccheus' Tree, Sharia Ein Es-Sultan, Jericho Palestinian Territories
Zaccheus is one of the most famous and colorful characters in the Gospels, even though he only appears in Luke’s account (19:1-10). In Jericho today, there is a large, old sycamore tree that stands at a major intersection in town.

Elijah Tours was very responsive when I asked for information prior to booking this tour. My main goal was to take the cable car in Jericho to visit the Mount of Temptation monastery, and Elijah Tours delivered on that. That was a great experience! The tour was well organized in the sense that the various drivers necessary were punctual and well coordinated. We were a bit surprised that the Jericho part was not guided (unlike the Bethlehem part where we did have a guide), but we had a nice driver who took good care of us. We took this tour on March 9, 2022, shortly after Israel reopened for tourists, and there were only 6 people on this tour, and only the two of us did the Jericho part, so we were riding around in a private car with just our driver. It was a bit wild, but it worked! This review is a bit delayed (sorry!) but this tour was great. Lots of fun and the pace was good. This review is a bit delayed (sorry!) but this tour was great. Lots of fun and the pace was good. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed all the stories they told. In the morning we had Moses. Then in the afternoon there was a local guide from Bethlehem called Boaz (the teacher)... he's an archeologist. Both of them were wonderful. Our guide was Boas (not sure on spelling) he was humorous and knowledgable and did a good job of keeping a steady pace. I would definitely recommend Elijah Tours and would choose them again!

Guide for Betlem was really good and funny! We did an interesting walking tour in the historical center of Betlem and see also the Nativity Grotto. Amazing also to see the Banksy graffiti. The company gave us a lot of gifts, food tastings, wooden cross or star and a sandwich with falafel! Gerico portion was unguided and really poor. I believed to see the monastery but it was not included. All the rest was really perfect! We had 3 different tour guides - each an expert in their area, and all were very good. But Rami Ahmed, and Elias Boaz were both truly excellent. They had lots of energy and made a pouring wet day still fun and interesting. Thanks for a great, interesting and enjoyable day!
