I really appreciated our tour guide Visal Sem going out of his way to ensure that his tour could accommodate my schedule - that meant a lot. And the tour didn’t fail. he created a personal connection to the genocide, and his level of detail of the genocide was incredible. I’ll be recommending this tour to everyone who wants to learn about this unfortunate eventThis was an excellent tour. Our guide Visay Sem was a local with extensive knowledge in the subject, and happy to answer all of our questions. He even gave me links to further my knowledge on this part of history. It is a tough tour to go on as they don’t hold back but it is absolutely worth seeing.

Baboon was a great tour guide for this harrowing tour- knowledgeable, empathetic and kind. It is a visit that no one should miss but which is not pleasant like other holiday activities, but which made us see Cambodia in a new light and which has made us want to learn more about the Khmer Rouge regime and leadership (there is a really good 4-part podcast on Pol Pot called Real Dictators which we listened too to get further information, as well as a book by Philip Short called ‘Pol Pot: The History of a Nightmare’ which we highly recommend. The tour is a must-see in Phnom Penh. Our tour guide Chesda was very nice and informative. Will definitely recommend if you are visiting Phnom Penh.
