She was able to adapt our tour schedule between the two days to accommodate our pace (spent a bit longer than normal at the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum), and weather (rained the second day. She fearlessly led us through the Muslim Food Street and knew the best ways to get us in and out of the sites quickly. Can’t say enough about this tour. Must do.Xi'an is an excellent place to visit to see the China's past. Xi'an is an excellent place to visit to see the China's past. President Xi once said, "If you want to see past of China, visit Xi'an; if you want to see China's today visit Beijing; and if you want to see future of China visit Shanghai." I am truly impressed by the city and its people. I did not hire services except a tour guide at the Tetra Cotta Soldiers site. It takes about 45 minutes from city to site, so taxi will cost around 200 yuan. I stayed in the Holiday Inn very close to Wild Goose Pagoda and everything was close. Our tour guide Jackie made our experience in Xian a great one. Our tour guide Jackie made our experience in Xian a great one. He was attentive to our group of 6, ranging in age from 8 to 77. We went at the end of the Golden Week, so he structured our itinerary to ensure we avoided the crowds as much as possible. Every part of the tour was excellent, and Jackie had a wealth of knowledge about Xi'an. We had authentic local food, found clean and western toilets (so important for us!), and we saw all the sights in a short space of time without feeling rushed or tired. We had a lovely 2 day tour of Xi’an with the amazing Cathy. She catered to our requests and made sure we were very well looked after! We got to try the local cuisine/delicacies and we had a great time.
