Painted Bukovina churches are much more impressive than can be judged from photo's. Bonus is egg museum, which indeed contains more than 10 000 painted-engraved eggs. Special thanks to our guide Florin for a visit to additional monastery (not included in the program) and great patience answering a lot of questions about Bukovina in particular and Romania in general. Visited at the end of April, so no crowds of other tourists.vrmacd2527

Our guide who was an art historian was fabulous. She was knowledgeable, knew people where we toured, was personable and went out of her way taking my companion to the ER and seeing her through the process.
