This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Manjanggul Cave, 182, Manjanggul-gil, Jeju, Jeju Island South Korea
60mins Trekking – Manjanggul Cave is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world and is a designated natural monument. A lava tunnel is formed when the lava that was deep in the ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface. Manjanggul Cave has a variety of interesting structures. Only 1km section of 7.4km is open to public. The inside of the tunnel sustains a temperature of 7~12℃, creating a comfortable atmosphere. There are rare animals such as bats living in the tunnel, which makes this tunnel valuable for researchers as well. The stone pillars and stalactites are widely spread and the tunnels show off the cave’s topographical features. “Stone Turtle” is especially eye-catching because it is shaped like Jeju-do Island.
–
※ When it’s raining, Manjang cave will be replaced to Gimnyeong maze park due to safety reason.

Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Haenyeo Museum, 3204-1 Hado-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju, Jeju Island 695-976 South Korea
Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweed, etc, without using any underwater diving equipment. When diving underwater, a haenyeo carries only a pair of goggles, a round ball-like tube to keep her balance, and a basket to put her collections in. Such women involved in the fishing industry are known to be scattered all around Jeju-do, Korea, Japan, and Russia.
–
Jeju-do has established the Jeju Haenyeo Museum to introduce to the world the unique activities and culture of Jejudo’s haenyeo female divers. Exhibition Hall 1 is entitled “Haenyeo Diver’s Life” and has a restoration of a traditional haenyeo’s home and her meals. Also on display, to show a more realistic view into their daily lives, are the various utensils used by female divers.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Seongsan Ilchulbong, 104 Seongsan-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju Island South Korea
60mins Trekking – Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100, 000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well.
–
The sunrise from the crater is magnificent. Also, the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak surrounded by bright yellow colored canola flowers in the spring is truly a sight to behold.

Herb Dongsan offers a great day out to enjoy nature and explore the cleverly laid out gardens.

Jin was prompt at picking us up at the hotel. He was very attentive and conscientious about seeing to our needs. He was knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited as well as being able to field all of our questions about Jeju in general. He even provided us with some excellent dining suggestions for our evening after the tour. The Manjang (a lava tube) was interesting, but damp (it was raining the day we went) and rather cool (bring an extra layer). The walking surface of the cave is rather irregular and I'd highly recommend that you wear substantial shoes. The climb up to the peak of Seopjikoji was essentially a series of stair cases. If you take your time, it's easily manageable and well worth the effort. The views from the peak are spectacular, don't forget to bring your camera! Jin's inclusion of the Herb park, Aromatherapy lesson is a masterful stroke. There you are given a quick lesson on how to do a foot soak and massage, a great way to end a day of hiking! This was our first trip to Jeju and it was quickly apparent that we needed help getting around without speaking Korean. This was our first trip to Jeju and it was quickly apparent that we needed help getting around without speaking Korean. Fortunately, Jin, our travel guide spoke fluent English! He was also knowledgeable about local customs and history which added depth to the whole experience. The tour itself (east route) was nicely balanced and includes visiting a cave (lava tube), a vulcano peak, a pristine beach, a museum and a cultural village. Some basic fitness is required for the cave and climbing to the peak of the vulcano. Lastly, the aromatherapy class at the herb farm was a nice addition. Thanks for making this trip so memorable for us.
