Overview

This Active Van Tour is a great way to see the unique wildlife of Yellowstone National Park. We begin in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone. The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk. Later we scope for wildlife on one of Yellowstone's tallest peaks, Mount Washburn. Next we explore the Lamar Valley, known as the Serengeti of North America. We will use spotting scopes to look for wolves, bears and other wildlife. Enjoy a hot drink while watching wolves. Next we visit the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces for a short walk. If you don't feel like walking we find a safe, scenic spot for you to wait for the group near the van. Finally, we head back toward West Yellowstone stopping for additional wildlife sightings along the way. The day concludes back at West Yellowstone.

Joel was great! His knowledge of the park and it’s history is wonderful. We saw so many things and learned so much about the wildlife and the people who occupied the land. ! It’s worth every penny you spend.

Alex was great !! We brought our elderly parents who can’t do any hiking and she made it so informative that they didn’t miss anything that Yellowstones beauty had to offer. The lunch was wonderful, and we also found out this company is a small business who truly cares about their guest and staff...

Josh, our tour guide was friendly, down-to-earth and very conscientious, always checking in with the group to see what people wanted to do or not do along the way. The lunch was...

This trip was so fun and we learned so much, we would have never been able to do it by ourselves. Joel found showed us the perfect spots to look at all the animals we wanted to see and explained everything: what we were doing, where we were going, why this and that. It was so exciting. We had a p...

We had a great time on our tour. Joshua was very knowledgeable about wildlife and the Yellowstone area. The tours are smaller in size, which is nice. Had a minor glitch with the instructions on where to meet, but it wasn’t the guide’s fault. Highly recommend!
