If you do only one thing in Valencia you must take this tour with Sea Saffron. Lara treated us like personal friends not tourists. It was the perfect balance of old City and modern Valencia. We were shuttled from place to place in hired cars, not tourists buses. The group was small... Only 9 guests. The finally was an amazing tapas lunch in a duplex apartment on the 33rd floor over looking the city... Not a tourist restaurant. The multiple wines flowed freely. Sorry I can't give 6 stars... We never experienced this type of hospitality on a tour before... DON'T MISS IT.This tour was excellent, one of our favorite shore excursions. This tour was excellent, one of our favorite shore excursions. Pick-up and drop-off from our cruise terminal was easy and timely. Monty was very knowledgeable about the history of the Old Town and the newer City of Arts and Sciences. He provided a very personalized tour and there was plenty of time for pictures and to try some horchata. He gave such interesting information about Valencia and Spanish food as we walked through the Central Market, whetting our appetites for the delicious food and wine tasting that followed, with the most spectacular views of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, highly recommend! This is a wonderful excursion! This is a wonderful excursion! It starts with an interesting walking tour of the old city and then a brief walk thru of the new City of Arts and Sciences. We then had a wonderful wine tasting and tapas on the 31st floor of a nearby residential building that lasted a couple of hours. The food was delicious and they poured five different wines that were all enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour - you will enjoy it.We booked this tour through TripAdvisor paying $96.29pp for a group of 4. We booked this tour through TripAdvisor paying $96.29pp for a group of 4. The website said and still says Entry/Admission into the City of Arts and Sciences. Although it was a wonderful day and Nacho was a great guide, when we got to the Science Center, we did a walk through parts of the outside which were open to the public and a bathroom stop inside by the ticketing. When asking our guide when we were going up into the museum, he said no we weren’t and that that was another 30 euros pp and we didn’t have the time. There was no discussion at the beginning on whether we wanted to cut the Old Town tour to ensure we would get into the Science Center so it left our group dissatisfied. I don’t think a walking tour, 2 taxi rides and tapas was worth almost $200 a couple!! ($192.58). I personally think we should have been refunded some of this money. We found this through cruise critic and read a lot of reviews before booking. We found this through cruise critic and read a lot of reviews before booking. Booked directly through their site, clear instructions on the meeting point and location. The tour started with a small tour of old town and the market. We arrived by private drivers, thank goodness we didn’t have to take a bus. At the end of the walking tour we had amazing tapas and wine on a rooftop. The wine tasting was paired with tapas and exceeded our expectations. We met our guide Laura at the terminal and took cabs into the city. There were 6 in our group. We met our guide Laura at the terminal and took cabs into the city. There were 6 in our group. She was very knowledgeable about everything. We walked around for about a half hour as she told us what we were seeing. We then took cabs to the Arts and Science center and walked around while Laura told us all about the place. It was beautiful but we didn’t go through the museum so when they say tickets are included, there were no tickets. We then walked a short distance to the tallest building in Valencia and had tapas with 4 different wine tastings. We met another group there and between 12 of us went through 12 bottles of wine and we had so much delicious food that I was still full at dinner time. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it.
