Captain Mark was great! He was wonderful with our kids (ages 4 and 7), gave us some history of the area, and showed us the local dolphins. The island was awesome—bring a bucket for shells! We got to see a lot of starfish and the kids had a blast (we did too!). Even though the day was a little cooler weather-wise, we still had an amazing time and it was one of the highlights of our trip.Captain Mark was a great Captain! Captain Mark was a great Captain! The trip was fun, engaging, at our tempo. Vanishing Island is like no place you’ve ever been (unless you are a pelican). Little and big kids really got into it. Captain Mark was great at communicating with us. Our initial appointed time was really rainy, so we rescheduled. It was easy. Then - at our second time - it was also rainy, but we together decided to go anyway. The rain cleared and it was remarkable. He has all the navigation equipment to make a safe trip. We saw lots of dolphins, a turtle!, starfish, an osprey- highly recommended and we will do it again when next in HHI!I was lucky enough to find Captain Mark via a recommendation, and the trip totally exceeded our expectations. Our party (2 adults, 2 children) took the private tour to the Vanishing Mile Island. We saw sand dollars, sea stars, crabs, shells, and lots of Dolphins accompanying us to the island! Ca...
I was lucky enough to find Captain Mark via a recommendation, and the trip totally exceeded our expectations. Our party (2 adults, 2 children) took the private tour to the Vanishing Mile Island. We saw sand dollars, sea stars, crabs, shells, and lots of Dolphins accompanying us to the island! Captain Mark was very knowledgeable and taught us about the eco system around HHI. Returning to the dock, Captain Mark took us to some tidal mud flats first, where we saw dolphins strand feeding, amazing experience. We highly recommend Capt. Mark.
