The tour can be made for anyone – from a beginner to a professional – we have horses for all types of riders. It will be supervised by an experienced teacher who will guide and teach you how to better control your horse.
*During bathing season, there are legal restrictions on horseback riding and it isn't allowed to ride on the beach sand therefore our route will be adapted accordingly.

What to expect
Take a horseback ride through the breathtaking scenery of Viana do Castelo. You will pass through fields of flowers, mountain trails and even the paradisiac beaches* of Viana. The tour is supervised by an experienced teacher who will guide you and teach you how to better control your horse.

Brilliant hack which catered for a very mixed ability group of strangers. Lots of encouragement given to a guest who was very unsure about the experience but agreed to try it. Lovely, well kept horses to suit all capabilities. Beach riding available from 15th September I believe. Instructors/ owners have clearly chosen a business they love, show lots of respect for the horses and their welfare. I would thoroughly recommend with 45 years of riding experience.Portugal Active exceeded expectations. I did the Horseback Riding activity, and it was spectacular. I will be back!

I'm an experienced equestrian, my husband is an advanced beginner, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time. We'll absolutely come back when we're back in Portugal.
