All we can say is wow. We had an absolutely amazing experience doing this tour. Everything was organised to perfection. We were collected from our hotel in Sucre - taken to the bus station and shown to our seats - collected by a driver when we arrived in Uyuni- taken to a hotel where we could get some sleep, have a shower and breakfast- tour of the salt flats- taken back to the hotel for some rest and dinner- taken to Uyuni bus station and shown to our seats for the journey back to Sucre. The salt flats tour was out of this world and our amazing guide Israel was so well informed and taught us so much about Uyuni and the salt flats. The lunch provided was delicious and a sunset snack table was also included whilst we sat with a glass of wine to watch the sunset. Israel took amazing photos all day long and nothing was too much trouble. We have been on a 4 month trip and we both agreed this has been the best day/tour of our whole trip. Thank you Joker expeditions! The tour was well organized and the best part of the tour that made it successful is our guide “Liroy” , he was literally an angel . The tour was well organized and the best part of the tour that made it successful is our guide “Liroy” , he was literally an angel . He was so kind , patient and great photographer so he made our day. The only one Negative thing Was basically the office mistake as they didn’t mention that we will be picked up by a local bus for 7 hrs to Uyuni then stay in a hotel until tour starts then we will be dropped of back again to take a local bus for approximately 7 hrs back to Sucre. This was a big surprise for us as it wasn’t clear in the tour details plus the operator in La Paz office was extremely rude to us and he wanted to cancel our booking just because we asked for more details about the tour so it would be better to deal with tourists in more professional way .This trip was excellent! They met us at the planned spot exactly at the agreed time. They thought of everything (including snacks for the road!) and were available on Whatsapp throughout to answer questions. This trip was excellent! They met us at the planned spot exactly at the agreed time. They thought of everything (including snacks for the road!) and were available on Whatsapp throughout to answer questions. Maribel, the guide, was knowledgeable and fun. I felt that this was the perfect amount of time to see the salt flats. The only thing that would have been helpful to know ahead of time is that the bus ride from Sucre to Uyuni (and back) is a shared coach bus with others who are traveling to Uyuni for other reasons and it is quite cold - layer up! There is also no bathroom on board. That said, I highly recommend this trip and this tour company! If I could give this tour two ratings, I would give the experience during the day at the salt flats with Julia five stars but dealing with the logistics three stars. If I could give this tour two ratings, I would give the experience during the day at the salt flats with Julia five stars but dealing with the logistics three stars. We got confusing information about the trip from the admin at the beginning, and then there was no one there to pick us up at the bus stop in Uyuni at 4:45 AM in the morning when it was 21 degrees Fahrenheit (when all other tour operators were there to pick up their clients) in a desolate part of town in the dark. I would suggest tour operators arrive for pickups early to make sure clients aren’t waiting, especially with kids.
