We rented a car and drove to Wadi Rum from Petra (give yourself an extra 10-15 to get to the meeting point - as you need to get your ticket & tell the local police that you have a guide) We were met by Khaled at the Wadi Rum Rest House who got us a tea / coffee and sat to explain the day what to expect, what we were going to see, etc; our guide Ahmed then met us and started the tour. We started with the camel ride, which i’d recommend was super fun, afterwards we drove around the Wadi Rum and saw the incredible landscape, got to explore climbed up sand dunes, and rocks. Ahmed was a perfect guide IMO he explained provided information at each stop, then let us wonder around and take photos for as long as we wanted at no point did we feel rushed. Lunch was made in the desert by Ahmed (we’re veggie) we had bread, hummus, salad and a bean & tomato stew which was cooked over a fire in the desert using wood we collected earlier in the day, he also made us Bedouin tea which was outstanding!! After lunch more exploring - we got to walk through some canyons, and on top of some natural bridges. Ahmed took us to a beautiful spot with stunning views across the desert so we could watch the sunset with more Bedouin tea. Definitely bring a warm jumper / sweater the evenings get cold. Would highly recommend Ahmed & Desert Eyes Tours - we’ll be coming back and next time hopefully staying at the camp for a few nights. We spent a night in camp. Dinner was plentiful and delicious. The bathroom was clean, there was hot water. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable. We got very thick blankets, we didn't get cold. Breakfast was good too. We spent a night in camp. Dinner was plentiful and delicious. The bathroom was clean, there was hot water. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable. We got very thick blankets, we didn't get cold. Breakfast was good too. The next day we went on a full day jeep tour through beautiful landscapes. They cooked lunch for us in the middle of the desert, it was amazing. Everyone is kind and they speak English, communication went easily and quickly. I highly recommend them!Absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the hospitality, the hosts, everything was just brilliant. Couldn't recommend these guys and their family enough!!

It was easy and quick to arrange the tour with Khaled and he arranged a taxi to bring us to Wadi Rum from our hotel. We saw lots of different sights in the desert, which has incredible scenery and colours, including some that have been used in movies. Khaled was really friendly and provided a drink before we set off, and then lunch to take along, so we could see as much as possible. Lunch was delicious (rice & chicken, yoghurt) and the desert is the most beautiful place for a picnic. We liked walking up the sand dunes and to the top of some of the rocks, from which you can see spectacular views. Really recommend - next time hopefully we will try sleeping out under the stars!Wonderful experience, the desert is breathtaking and we had a perfectly organized trip. Wonderful experience, the desert is breathtaking and we had a perfectly organized trip. It was very easy to arrange things with Khaled, we really appreciated his flexibility in accommodating our trip, even when I mistakenly provided the wrong day of arrival! We did a 2 hours camel tour to the camp, stayed over in the desert and did a full day tour the next day: all the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and we really had fun in our night in the desert, bedouins are super interesting people with very nice stories to tell and very friendly - also during the day we got offered tea basically at every stop we did with our guide without any push to tip or buy anything! Food was also great, both in the desert camp and during our day tour where our guide cooked us a delicious soup
