I want to thank all the great people from the Wild Wadi Rum camp for their hospitality, attitude and efforts to provide the best experience possible! The tour started around 10 am from the entrance of the dessert where we were served tea and were told more about our camp - real Bedouins who live there and have been living for generations. We boarded a pickup with seats in the back and went in the dessert. We visited more than 10 places, had lunch in the dessert and after the sunset went to the camp - we slept in a private tent (it's more like a small house - with comfortable beds, many blankets and even electricity). The nice people of the camp had made Zarb (a traditional very tasty food), we played traditional instruments, sang and smoked shisha. The sleep was very comfortable and in the morning we had breakfast and then went with the pickup to a place where we rode camels to the entrance again. It was amazing and I urge everyone to try it!

We had 2 nights and asked for adapted planning, cause we arrived late after Petra, wanted an airballoon trip and be back at 2pm on the second day cause we had the train to catch at 3pm. Everything was adapted accordingly. We had the father, Eid, as a guide. He has 35 years of experience and you could tell cause the first day we only saw one other jeep and had beautiful sceneries, not the typical tourist places. The second day, the son Salman slept in his jeep to make sure we were picked up on time from the camp for the airballoon trip. We started our half day tour at their family home after the airballoon. Since I quickly run out of sugar and energy, Eid gave me a full box of mamoul cookies with dates. The half day tour we did the tourist places since it's nice to see but no explanation needed. Even at these places he tries to give you another angle for the views. Great experience!!!
