It’s great that the service includes pick up from your accommodations but none of the wineries visited are in Wanaka. They were all 45 minutes away in the central Otago region. Our driver was very friendly but not very knowledgeable about the wineries and the van’s air conditioning did not work in the back (only in the front). We visited 3 wineries which were complimentary (had we not signed up for a wine tour) and the other stop was a food tasting (decent food) with wine but no explanation from the staff about what we were eating or drinking. It was disappointing that we did not visit any wineries in Wanaka. Additionally, we were paired with another couple who brought their underage children. This made no sense whatsoever. In general, you are paying for an expensive driver to take you to complimentary wine tastings about 45 minutes away from Wanaka.Scott was a great tour guide who picked out four amazing vineyards for us (we asked to focus our tour on biodynamic or organic vineyards primarily) and he offered just the right amount of stories and context! Scott was a great tour guide who picked out four amazing vineyards for us (we asked to focus our tour on biodynamic or organic vineyards primarily) and he offered just the right amount of stories and context! And like other reviewers here have noted: be prepared to spend some money on a bottle here or there. If you end up getting too much to carry home, Scott can help you get it shipped, too. We thoroughly enjoyed this day. I see no reason why you wouldn’t, too...My partner and I booked this tour whilst we had a couple of days in Wanaka and had a fantastic time. My partner and I booked this tour whilst we had a couple of days in Wanaka and had a fantastic time. Scott was a great guide and certainly taught us a lot about some wine and the region. It's a pretty full day with lots of tasting and great open cellars. Be prepared to want to spend a few bucks buying bottles everywhere you stop because the wine is so good. The tour was worth every penny.Really great way of seeing Central Otago, tasting great wines with really friendly local tour guides. They can pretty much answer any question you might have. Fabulous lunch at Wild Earth also with wine to match. My personal fave...Archangel, the story was great.

Excellent tour. We did 5 wine tasting visits and all of them were of high quality. Scott was an excellent guide giving us all kind of information about the area and wineries. I highly recommend this tour. Fantástico tour. Visitamos 5 bodegas y todas fueron de calidad. Te dan a testar 6 vinos en cada bodega. Scott es un guía excelente y agradable que te da mucha información de las bodegas, los vinos y la zona. Tour altamente recomendable. We went on this tour yesterday, and Scott was very pleasant and the wineries were also, however only 2/6 charged for tasting, and lunch was very limited. We went on this tour yesterday, and Scott was very pleasant and the wineries were also, however only 2/6 charged for tasting, and lunch was very limited. We expected to have wine included with lunch- it wasn't. We expected to pick our lunch based on this price, but we got a cheese and meat platter to share. Overall, we did not see how it was fair value for $250 pp. if you want a better deal, try bookme.co.nz website $120pp for exactly the same thing. Or rent a chauffeur, it would be hundreds of dollars less. If you want to be completely ripped off and gauged, then you will go with this company. 4 free tastings and 2 tastings of $5pp, a lunch platter that was $25 to share and someone driving you around for 5 hours should not equal $500 for a couple. Rip off.
