We attended a wine tasting (was originally booked with the tour but the weather didn’t allow but the compensated us for this) the tasting and cellar tour was absolutely fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the local winery and all left with bottles to take home as we found some exceptional reds. It’s very cosy and intimate in small groups and your guide is super knowledgeable - definitely recommended a visit over some of the larger wineries around.Gianluigi was our host for the day and he was very knowledgable and good humoured. Gianluigi was our host for the day and he was very knowledgable and good humoured. The vineyard was beautiful and we were served amazing wine and food (described as a light lunch but there was much more than that and it was all delicious!). They also were not stingy with the wine and have us large glasses of a fantastic selection of different wines even leaving the bottles with us to top up as and when we wanted. Gianluigi invited us to try the different wines with different elements of the lunch that gave the wines different flavours. Would recommend to anyway it was a spectacular day. Our experience at La Lastra was exceptional. Our English-speaking guide, Gianluigi, was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and very passionate about winemaking and the history and operations of the La Lastra wines in Siena. The vineyard tour was very informative and the lunch provided was also exceptional. They were able to accomodate our vegetarian dietary needs as well. All in all, highly recommend this experience to learn about a crucial aspect of Tuscan culture in a beautiful, organic vineyard in the region, very close to Siena. An amazing few hours spent on a picturesque vineyard. We walked from Siena city centre and it took about an hour. Stunning views, friendly hosts, delicious wine and food pairing. Would absolutely recommend.

The highlight of our trip to Siena! The location is stunning with views over the Tuscan hills. The tour itself is so informative and everyone there is incredibly helpful. We were lucky enough to go when it was less busy and received our own private tour! The light lunch was absolutely delicious and the hosts were more than helpful in accommodating for allergies. The wine itself was very tasty as well. Would definitely recommend this tour to support this brilliant local winery over some of the bigger tours available. A very memorable experience!
