Day 2: 2 Days 1 Night Jungle Trekking
Stop At: Gunung Leuser National Park, Gunung Leuser National Park, North Sumatra, Sumatra
Our licensed guide will pick you up in hotel. Start jungle trekking in Gunung Leuser National Park to see Orangutan and other wildlife. Spend one night in the jungle with campsite and dome tent inside by the small river.

Day 3: Come Back from Jungle Trekking - Contiue to Berastagi

Day 2 jungle trekking in National Park, back to Bukit Lawang village with Traditional Tube Rafting

Berastagi town is located around 66 kilometers (41 miles) south of Medan and about 1, 300 meters (4300 feet) above sea level. Located in the Barisan Mountains area, the mean annual temperature of the district is 18 °C. During the day the temperature rises over 25 °C but at night to early morning it could drop to as low as 12 to 16 °C during the rainy season.
On the way to Berastagi we will stop on the feed of Sinabung Volcano to see the magnificent Sinabung

Stop At: Mount Sibayak, Berastagi Indonesia

Continue to Hot Spring / Natural Soda Water for relaxing. After that, back to Berastagi town for lunch and visit Fruit Market

Berastagi Adventure, absolutely recommended, best Sumatra's experience, superbly organized. Our 5-day, 4-night trip was well-organized by Hendra, from just a few requests, came up with a full fledged and immersive plan. Uncle Mike and his son Risky were waiting for us at the airport. They were friendly, helpful, and kind, and they guided us to Bukit Lawang. There, we met our amazing guides Handris and JoJo. The Jungle is truly their second nature, and were just remote sounds that turned in orangutans, gibbons, three types of macaques, black squirrels, and peacocks spotted during our jungle trek. The trekking was joyfully guided, and the food was truly amazing. The night in the jungle started with some of the best food we had in Indonesia, cooked on the spot, whilst JoJo was fishing and entertaining us, and the funny games, and the jungle taxi ride back to our cottage. More than we had hoped for. Risky then took us to Berastagi, to Sipsio Pisio, and to the slopes of Mount Sinabung. We met Bangun, a superb guide who was experienced and almost sophisticated in his way of explaining things to us. We went trekking early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. We had the most amazing trip to North Sumatra. Our driver was Uncle Mike, who drove very calm, nice and professionally, considering that we’re in Indonesia. Our guide throughout the whole 7 days was Konong, he is a very friendly and funny young guy, who will do anything to keep the mood up. In the jungle Jojo joined us as our second guide. Jojo is very professional and knows the jungle like his own backyard. We felt safe and protected throughout the entire 2 days of trekking. The jungle trekking is very physically demanding, but the wildlife and views makes up for it by far! Overall we had an amazing trip and would recommend this to everyone going to Indonesia!635quintenb

We liked the sound of the 7 day North Sumatra itinerary but wanted a few days extra to do our own thing (extra day in Bukit Lawang and extra few days in Lake Toba). Hendra was so easy to deal with and accomodating of a customised itinerary. He was very punctual, organised, reliable and fun. North Sumatra is such a great place to visit. We loved Bohorok River/Bukit Lawang (if you want a blissful quiet time ask to be booked into Jungle inn or Garden inn upstream where the river water is clear and you might see orangutans!). If you want a more social time Eco Lodge is great. The 2 day jungle trek was amazing - not to be missed. Lake Toba is stunning and if you stay longer than planned you won’t be sorry. Zoe’s Paradise or Tabo Cottages accom are equally great! Thanks so much for everything Hendra, Uncle Mike our jolly driver and Tambung our national park guide. You are at the top of your game - keep doing what you’re doing!
