If going by MRT exit 6 of Zongshan station brings you very close to the venue. My friend and I took this cooking class and enjoyed it a lot! The market tour was very interesting and the class itself was well paced with clear instructions. They provided a recipe book and I walked away feeling like I could make xiaolongbao and beef noodle soup at home (with some practice!).

The cooking class is designed to be entertaining for cooks of all skill levels. CookInn has a beautiful spacious facility and sous chefs take care of the drudgery of prep work and cleaning. But the experience feels a bit hollow because that leaves you with stirring a few ingredients in a pot for beef noodle soup, or shaking a container for the smashed cucumber salad. A perfect example of how the class is designed to streamline the experience but not teach : the hardest part of XLB is folding the pleats, but the instructor simply gives a 30 second demonstration then leaves to the office to print out custom booklets with a personal photo. Instead of guiding, evaluating, and correcting technique, the emphasis is on making you feel special and rewarded. It's an okay way to spend a morning and you get a decent meal out of it, but it's not a particularly educational class. My daugter in law booked a cooking session with CookInn Taiwan for the session to learn how to prepare taiwan Beef Noodle, dumpling and bubble tea. The venue is big, the staff amazing and the intructions very easy to follow. Staff speak Chinese and English and you get the recipes to take home. The classes are well strucured and the ingredients prepared. This outing in my opinion is a must for visitors to Taipei that would like to prepare some Asian dishes. The walk through the Asian market is extremely interesting and the "new" vegetables and fruits a treat!I took the class as a solo traveler and had a great time! I took the class as a solo traveler and had a great time! The classroom was quite easy to find, especially off the MRT station. Maggie and Peggy were awesome, teaching us about certain foods at the market and flavours in the classroom. They also were very personable and kept things light throughout the class. The actual cooking was also made easy with their careful instructions. We made xiao long baos, beef noodle soup, cucumber salad and bubble tea. The very best part was the end, when we were able to eat what we made! After class, they emailed me a bunch of candid photos which were taken of us. To be honest, I didn't even notice them taking pics during the session :) Overall, I definitely recommend this class to travellers to Taipei as you get to make (in my opinion) 3 of the top iconic Taiwanese foods.I was having my own translator and cook to train me. It was a great great time that I won't forget. Thanks again cookin Taiwan, I have already done the beef Noodle and it was a success. :) all the best for you guys
