These tours were fantastic! One day our guide was Ishmael and the other day it was Alex. Both were professional. We did the the city tour, waterfalls and north coast tour. Chi Chi was our hiking guide at the waterfalls and zipline. He was energetic and knowledgeable. Our favorite part of the tour was the beach on the north coast. We were lucky that each day was not crowded. It’s a good value for such a personalized and private experience. The water adventure was fun for the whole family. Carina was a wonderful guide throughout this tour. She stopped on the way to the falls to buy delicious fresh mangoes and coconut water. She and our driver Oswaldo pointed out many sites along the way and shared history and culture about the Dominican Republic. The water falls was fun and exciting. We joined a larger group at the falls and the guides were friendly and offered options to people of all skill levels to get down the falls. The hike was beautiful and brisk but not difficult and the falls were refreshing and a lot of fun. We were treated to a delicious lunch right after the falls. On the way back Carina offered to stop and several other sites like the rum and chocolate factories. We were tired from the falls so we just asked to stop to see some local crafts and souvenirs. She took us to Plaza Artesanal Imberto which had beautiful hand carved items, paintings, jewelry and much more. It was a place we would not have known to visit on our own. It was a great day and Carina and Oswaldo were great guides. Was not a private tour by any means. Only thing Private was the amazing driver we had. Once we arrived at the Waterfalls we were stuck in a group of over 100 people. The falls themselves are nice, but only did 7 of them. Would love to see all 27 someday. The falls themselves are nice, but only did 7 of them. Would love to see all 27 someday. The tour company was great a communication to make sure we found our ride off of the cruise port and it was nice having a private driver.Ismael and his team were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. Ismael and his team were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. I used them for transportation to and from the airport, excursions, and general running around Sosua and Puerto Plata for the 3 weeks I rented a house there. I enjoyed learning about the culture, the people, the government, and other things during our time together in the car. No matter what you needs: transportation, excursions, or dinner recommendations- Ismael is your guy! Kristie
