Zodiac Whale Watching Adventure - Incl FREE photos & Whale Sightings Guarantee
Overview
On our way out of the bay you will pass Pelican Rock, Lovers Beach and the famous Arch. After that your guide and captain will search for the whales. The most common species we see on our tours are Humpback Whales, Common Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles and Mobula Rays. At times we also might see other species of wildlife such as Gray Whales, Sperm Whales, Blue Whales and Killer Whales. When conditions permit your guide will use a hydrophone to hear the humpback whales sing.
From December 15th until April 15th we offer our Whale Sightings Guarantee, which means if you don't see any whales you get to come out again for free (space permitting).

I have had a life long dream of whale watching and I was not disappointed! Our guide and boat driver knew exactly where to find the whales and after following a mama and her baby for awhile, they found another mama and her baby only this time the baby breached in front of our boat 6x! The other couple who was with us and had been several whale watching tours in the past said it was their best experience they had ever had. Our guide was a marine biologist and very knowledgeable about all things whales. He was also a great photographer too so we could just watch the whales while he took the photos and a link was sent to us a few days later. It was the highlight of my trip in Cabo. Also the zodiac is great if you are prone to sea sickness which I am but didn't feel sick at all. I think the smaller boat helps. Highly recommend this company! What a wonderful way to spend a day in Cabo San Lucas. Our guide/biologist Maria was very knowledgeable and fun. I really enjoyed watching that whales, one breached which made the trip for me so awesome. We saw a few pods with mama and baby's and males together. The humpbacks are such graceful mammals. It was such a pleasure to take part in this tour. The thing that sold me on this trip was the FREE PHOTOS, you can enjoy the entire trip and they send them to you within two-three days. It was awesome! Sit back, relax and enjoy your tour. The staff are super nice as well, Maru in the office was super friendly, helpful and answered all my questions with a big smile a beautiful heart of gold. Maru's customer service is impeccable! She's AMAZING!! Our capitan (Enrique) and photographer/guide (Payo) were great. Got us around safely and the wealth of knowledge and photography skills from Payo we're out of this world. Thanks guys! You made me a happy customer and would definitely return!First of all, this company is amazing. PLEASE BOOK WITH THEM, ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOVE WHALES! First of all, this company is amazing. PLEASE BOOK WITH THEM, ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOVE WHALES! Really professional and they obviously care both about the animals and about providing guests with a great experience. You could tell they knew what they were doing (how to keep the whales and us safe, how to abide by regulation, and where to look for whales, etc.), especially compared to some other boats out there. As an example of this, we were following this group of whales with some other boats, and right after one of the whales dove, one of the boats immediately sped right over that location, swerving around to get his guests closer to the whale. His boat wasn't registered as a licensed tour operator (the boat should have a certain flag on it) and by driving around like he did he put everyone in danger - the whales and the people on his boat. How sad is that too, if you book a tour because you love whales, and then you end up making their lives worse... Whale Watch Cabo on the other hand kept our boat at a safe distance, and then when all of the boats went to watch this one whale pop out of the water, Payo recognized it wasn't one of the whales we had been following! Our guides also knew that we shouldn't hang around by the new whale, because it exhibited behavior that indicated it wouldn't resurface for a while. So only our boat went back to the other location where we had been watching the original whales, the boat driver expertly estimating where the whales would again resurface, and we were in the exact right place where they popped up! We were the only boat ready to witness the action up close! The whales had dropped below again by the time all the other boats had rushed back to us. I took this tour with my partner in mid march and we were the only ones on the bout with our guides Payo and Captain Enrique - who were so awesome! We had originally booked for the day before but a family emergency arose and we couldn't make it to Cabo until the day after. I sent Whale Watch Cabo an email the night before our tour asking to move the tour to the day after, and they agreed and immediately sent me a new confirmation of booking for the new day. So kind! The Zodiac Whale Watching tour was also not for the faint of heart by the by - rough waters and I was flying all around while sitting in the front! Front of the boat has the best views but man I was seasick. Back of the boat is most stable, no seasickness issues. Since we were the only ones on the tour we got to alternate and go everywhere.Amazing tour with Captain Enrique and marine biologist guide Sandra on our first day in Cabo! Amazing tour with Captain Enrique and marine biologist guide Sandra on our first day in Cabo! We did the 8am tour and took an uber from the JW Marrriot to get there more quickly. We learned a lot about the whales and saw 3-4 different groups, including a mother and baby that gave us an extended display of syncrhonized tail slapping that went on for several minutes. The zodiac was clean, safe, had shade and a smooth ride. Sandra took some amazing pictures and they were available for download within a couple of days. We also got a brief look at the arch before going out to find whales.Payo and Captain Enrique were excellent tour guides. Payo and Captain Enrique were excellent tour guides. Payo is very knowledgeable about marine life and you can tell she really loves her job. Captain Enrique made sure it was fun getting close to the whales and safe throughout. We were able to see a few groups of whales. Unfortunately they were all pretty mellow. The pictures on the website are, obviously, of more action however whales don't always put on a great show... just adding some expectations here. Thanks Whale Watch Cabo for a great tour.
