What to expect
Private and/or small group tours to ease social distancing. Block 4.5-5 hours to spend in the open countryside riding for 2.5 hours depending on your pace through the river, up alongside the canyon and back down open trails for an outdoor authentic ranch lunch served afterwards relaxing at the ranch. Personalize your trail ride to meet your comfort level and experience to enjoy walking, trotting, cantering or galloping on your horse. Customize your trail riding in the morning or see (other tour option) for a late afternoon "Sunset" trail ride with an outdoor authentic ranch dinner served afterwards.

Our half day horseback riding excursion in the mountains overlooking San Miguel de Allende was a very pleasurable experience. It began with a short introduction on how to ride and handle the horse as well as some guidelines for riding in a mountainous desert environment. Then owner Beth Kaestner and a group of cowboys led us through the beautiful terrain on a ride that included walking the horses, as well as faster paces up to galloping for those comfortable with the faster speeds. The trip concluded with a wonderful lunch at the ranch where we had begun. Very highly recommended.This was a beautiful experience with beautiful people in Mexico. We were given not only a great ride with lovely horses, but also stories about the area and some history. All of this and a fantastic lunch filled with local favorites. This is a definite must do if you’re in San Miguel de Allende.
