What to expect
Located in the heart of Temple Bar—Dublin's Cultural Quarter—the Irish Rock 'N' Roll Museum Experience is the only place in Ireland to celebrate  Rock 'N' Roll. This 1.5-hour tour will take visitors on a historical musical journey, where you'll travel behind the scenes of some of Ireland's largest acts.Â
This fully-guided tour has informative exhibits from the Rock 'N' Roll heyday in the '80s, and provides access to one of Dublin's most legendary  venues and recording studios. Over the years these facilities have hosted some of Ireland's most popular artists, from Van Morrison to Thin Lizzy, Sinead O'Conner, and Hozier. Â
You'll also find photos and memorabilia from Michael Jackson and U2, and the tour takes place directly behind the Temple Bar Wall of Fame. More than just the music itself, this museum provides some insight into the lives and careers of the artists, and is a way to really walk in the footsteps of some of your musical heroes. At the end of the 90-minute tour, you finish in the middle of Temple Bar where you originally started the tour.

We had a great time visiting the Rock n Roll museum! Our tour guide, Alan, was definitely a highlight of our tour. He was very welcoming and had so many stories to tell, starting from the minute we walked inside! I loved that it is a working studio, and the stories of the numerous musicians that have been within its walls. They have multiple pieces of memorabilia, but honestly the stories from Alan was what made our tour the most memorable. Would definitely recommend if visiting Dublin.Very interesting and entertaining tour, led by Alan, who made the experience fun, informative and even a little bit emotional when talking about musicians who have passed on. The R&R Museum tour is highly recommended!

An amazing experience I will never forget! Our tour guide was Alan, very professional and exceptionally friendly. We were a group of friends from Slovenia visiting Dublin for the first time and although all the museums we saw were incredibly interesting, Alan, with his friendly and entertaining way of explaining things, made this tour hard to forget and the best guided tour I have ever had. His humour and energy just radiate the spaces one is taken trough and immediately one feels especially homely with a great amount of respect towards all that is being said and shown. The tour itself has a few surprises one does not expect in this particular museum and it can be fascinating and educational for those that know a lot about the Irish rock and for the less informed and familiar with it as well. I highly recommend this museum and one should take 1h30 maximum to comfortably let itself be immersed in the experience that follows without any hurry. Money and time well spent. This was a Great tour, with a very inspirational guide, Alan. He effortlessly walked us through the Irish rock history and let us know funny and emotional anecdotes on the way.
