Segway Alaska - Coastal Rainforest Trek
Overview
As you set out, you will immediately encounter views of the majestic Mendenhall Glacier. Cruise the coastline and make several stops for photos while you take in the pristine waters of Lynn Canal, part of the Inside Passage.
Because you are on a Segway, you will have the opportunity to intimately interact with nature. Listen for eagle calls in flight, the waves lapping the shoreline, and maybe even spy the occasional breaching humpback whale.
Then hop off your Segway and walk a short 7 minute trail to a secluded beach to enjoy locally sourced refreshments. Immerse yourself in the Tongass National Forest, a temperate rain forest and the largest National Forest in the US.

Beautiful views, guides were great. They took the time to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable operating the Segway. Lots of history and fun on this beautiful trail. Guides even had an amazing local snack for one of our pit stops along the way.

The treat at the beach where Rainforest Trail ends was delightful! Would do this again and again....Derrick and Ben did a great job. This was by far on the top of our list of things to do while we were in Juneau!! Rueben was an amazing tour guide and you could tell he is passionate about sharing this area with you. We started off with great instructions since it was our first time on a Segway. We did not hit the trail until everyone felt comfortable with the ride. Once on the Eagle Crest ski nordic trails we stop for small educational sessions about the different areas. We started at the top tundra area and worked our way down to the rain forest. The Segway ride was so easy going up and down the terrain. If you went too fast the machine would just slow down and keep it at a safe speed. Such an enjoyable experience. Make sure you bring your rain gear because you just never know with the weather in Juneau. Overall this was one of the most memorable moment of our trip. Please make sure this is on your list of things to do, you wont regret it one bit.Very fun riding, but also beautiful side trips. It was real special. We had some surprises and Reuben went out if his way to accommodate our special requests. It’s a must activity while in Juneau. Great narration and with the radios in each Segway you can hear very clearly.
