Jelena was very knowledgeable about Split history so we learned a lot during the tour. She had a pleasant manner and was very easy to talk to. She also had some great recommendations for other activities and restaurants. Definitely a great tour guide.

Our half day with Jelena was one of the highlights of an incredible 8 day trip in Croatia. We were so lucky that she was available when we asked for a last-minute recommendation from our hotel. We were truly fortunate to book Jelena on such short notice - I wouldn't gamble on her availability again and would definitely book her ahead of time! Before we started our tour, Jelena spent a few minutes with us to ask us our interests. My SO and I both work in politics, and he is a former history professor who studied revolutions, so we had an interest in the history of the politics of the area, as well as current events. Jelena targeted our tour for our interests extremely well, and we really enjoyed our conversation with her about her personal experience, stories of local politics, and recent history from Yugoslavia through Croatian independence. Of course, Jelena led us through the beautiful and interesting sights of Old Town, from Diocletian's Palace to Narodni Trg. With her, we were able to see the highlights efficiently, and even got some perks - the Baptistry of St. John was closed that day, but with her, they let us in to see the incredible structure that had once been a temple of Jupiter (I was very taken by the ceiling there, which was original Roman, and less influenced by Christian artistry). Most importantly, Jelena made us feel completely at home and like we had a true connection in Croatia. We are so appreciative and recommend her service to anyone who visits Split. She is the best!If you have plans to come to Split ( and area), you must contact Jelena! She took care of my VIP clients so well!
