Stop At: Casco Historico de Toledo, Toledo Spain
Toledo is one of the oldest and most beautifully preserved cities in Spain, home to monuments, museums and works of art that span millennia – from Roman ruins to spectacular Gothic cathedrals, mosques and synagogues, as well as narrow cobbled streets and romantic squares.
Our guided tour is a walk through the Christian, Jewish and Muslim quarters, with stops at the Alcázar, the mosque, the synagogues and the 13th-century cathedral.
We will also explore the fantastic work of El Greco, complete with a visit to his masterpiece, The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, at the Church of Santo Tomé. The tour is rounded out with a visit to exclusive underground spaces and archaeological ruins, including 13th- century wells, Roman thermal baths, and many more magical places.
Your guide will recommend the main monuments you can visit, but if you have a special cultural or religious preference, let us know and that’s where we’ll focus our efforts to make a tailor-made visit just for you.

Javi gave us an excellent introduction to Toledo and really brought the city to life for us. He also gave us a lot of useful information about good restaurants. Since we met him we also had guides in Cordoba and Seville but he was definitely the best one we had. Gracias Javi!

Gracias Javi!Sonia gave our group (2 families of 4) a very informative tour that kept parents and teens highly engaged. We saw some things that were off the beaten path. Sonia also provided some great tips for post tour adventures. Well worth it!

My husband visited Toledo on a high school trip many years ago. This being my first trip to Spain, he wanted to make sure that we had a chance to visit Toledo during our trip which mainly focused on Barcelona and Madrid. We took the train from Madrid to Toledo and Diego, our guide, was kind enough to meet us at the train station and suggest we take the scenic route by taxi into town so we could experience the full panorama of Toledo's beauty. Not being Spanish speakers (except for a few simple phrases), Diego was able to tell our taxi driver where to stop along the way to get some amazing photos on our drive into town. Diego is an excellent guide - full of knowledge about the history of Toledo. Our time spent with Diego really enhanced our time in Toledo and was so worth it!Our guide, Irene, was fantastic. Diego was the best tour guide of our entire trip and I was so happy that he made a successful effort to pull my fourteen year old into the experience. Born in the old city of Toledo, Diego has an intimate and personal understanding of this historic place that came through during the tour. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer or a building he didn't know a fact or story about. He especially shone when sharing the Cathedral and El Greco's The Burial of Count Orgaz. He had so many layers of information and wove them together into a cohesive and fascinating tour that was suited to the entire family. While we were viewing The Burial of Count Orgaz, a TV crew came in and Diego said it was the President of La Mancha and some dignitaries from the Netherlands. And then he mentioned that he would be giving them a tour later. I thought, well, that's proof that we have the best guide in Toledo! when you think of the spectrum of tour guide, from those who read off a script, to those for whom it is a calling and a true profession, Diego is at the top of the game. Without his guidance, we would have missed so much of the nuance and mythology of this living piece of history. Fo4r anyone interested in history, art, or religion -- this is your guide. A million thanks!
